Because it is more proof that Bret "Hitman" Hart is the best wrestler who has ever step foot inside of the squared circle.
Because they just found out about it because of whatculture
Basically validation that Bret is the greatest worker of all time. He made the shittiest of shitters look like a million bucks and the urban legend is that Vince liked the match so much it convinced him to start grooming Tom Magee to replace Hogan
When did Bret wrestled against Kenny Omega?
Just even further confirmation that Bret "i got a 10/10 match out of diesel" Hart is the GOAT ringworker
It was recently found in his VHS collection by a woman that catalogues his matches for DVDs and such
Thats clearly Kennys dad
More like the Roid Rooster
Please come back Bretlad i’m beggin ya
Watch everyone hate it for a typical 80s dark match.
Shhhh im undercover
>Bret wrestles new guy with a great look (in Vince McMahon's opinion) named Tom Magee
>Bret does amazing selling for the guy's moves during the match and makes him look like a million bucks
>Between his look and Bret making him look awesome in the ring, Vince goes absolutely gay for the guy and openly boasts to others backstage that Tom is his new Hogan
>Tom later wrestles other guys
>looks like complete shit during those matches
>Vince is embarrassed, drops the guy, hides the footage of the Bret/Tom match that fooled him into thinking his new cash cow had arrived, and also actively prevented anyone from seeing the footage even upon request....until now
That's basically why the match is a big deal to wrestling fans....they wanna see how great Bret was in this match to fool Vince that much
If that gif of Tom throwing Bret into the turnbuckle was a sign, then the match should be at least decent by today's standards, and great by 80s standards
lol Bret looked like a fatty back then
It's just a 5 minute squash match dipshits. Everyone is going to laugh you incels for hyping it up
Magee is literally a foot taller than Omemega.
No, everyone is going to laugh at Vince for thinking he found his next Hogan through one short unimpressive squash match
He's 7 feet tall?
>Kenny Omega is 6'0"
He received acclaim after one of his first matches, when on February 22, 1986 in the main event of a major All Japan Pro Wrestling show, where he took on Riki Choshu. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said of his first match: "He was the greatest combination of strength and agility the business had ever seen"
in my opinion, he wasn't that bad for a guy whose pursuits weren't entirely in professional wrestling

Did they air the damn match yet or what
they're airing it at the end of the documentary
IT'S AIRING NOW FREN!
>Bret goes for an elbow drop
>Magee fucks up and doesn't move but Bret makes it look like look natural
Based
Based retard me
That match was WAY better than I expected. Was pleasantly surprised.
And it killed that long-standing image of Tom Magee being some untalented musclehead that Bret magically pulled a good match out of. Bret definitely controlled the match quality but Tom was doing his thing out there, too
This match is the ultimate proof that Vince is a complete and total mark ass dipshit that doesn't recognise true talent when it's right in front of him.
He got WIZZERKED by the GOAT Bret.
>worked by worked heights
I'm watching this right now and you would think Tom Magee is dead but i just checked and he's still alive
Is it uploaded anywhere yet?
>actually being a wwen sub
I have no clue. Are people really surprised that Bret can have a great match with anyone? Bret is still to this day one of the greatest wrestlers ever and probably the best seller ever.
>ratings down
>wrestlers suck from bad booking/gimmick
>Attack on Bret was insane. Wait... He's still relevant
>finds a match of Texas Tornado looking dude vs Bret Hart
>slow day on the network

Chances are high if you didn't see Bret in the early 90s you got worked by wwes false history writing.
It's a pretty damn good match. It's joined in progress and we get 8 minutes. The crowd was very into it which is crazy since Magee was a nobody and Bret was just a mid-card tag team guy.
>Tom Magee is from Winnipeg as well
what are the fucking odds?
