I wanted Kofi to win because I actually got invested during his gauntlet match and thought, "What the hell, why not?"

I wanted Rollins to win just because I wanted that belt back on tv on a regular basis. Don't care who you replace Rollins with at 'Mania I'd still root for that guy.

And even though the Becky storyline lost a lot of its fire, and the decision to put a second belt into the mix baffled me, I still thought it would make for a decent moment. (Granted I was so fucking tired by the end of that show, Steph could have slid into the ring and pinned Ronda for the win and I'd have been simply happy that the show was over).

And finally, yeah, I was also happy that Reins didn't go on last again.

I got "everything I wanted", and yeah, I still complain because this shit sucks. Fucking Shane feuding with multiple guys on different brands plus this weird anyone can be on any show on any day rule that just means we're going to see even fewer wrestlers perform on a weekly basis. You think we don't get to see Shinsuke/Rusev/Gable/etc enough already? Wait til you find out that Shane alone is going to eat up 15 to 20 minutes of BOTH shows now, and that the main event stars are going to be on both shows pushing other guys down even further.

I think Kofi as champ was a good short term move. That match was basically the only one on the entire Wrestlemania card that people really got hot for. That match was over like rover and the first time in a long time that I've seen a WWE crowd actually pop for moves, boo when they are supposed to, cheer for babyface spots, etc etc. This is especially impressive since theoretically a blood feud angle between HHH and his former protege, with Ric Flair thrown in for flavor, should have been white hot and stole the show. Obviously we all know the moving parts are not nearly what that sounds like on paper but the point stands.

The problem is that they had no followup. Kofi is doing the same shit he was doing last year. Nothing changed except he has the belt and occasionally reminds us of that fact. He didn't have a followup feud lined out and AFAIK still dosen't. His promos are his biggest weakpoint and he's done more talking than wrestling since he got the belt. He is not and will never be a Rock or Austin or even a Shawn Michaels but the way they have booked this would have killed anyones momentum.

The other big mistake they made was literally all the babyfaces winning at Mania. Of course no one tuned for Raw after that. Why would they? All the guys they liked won. There is no tension or heat or momentum going into the next show and whatever they do is going to have to be made from scratch. Sending the fans home happy with a big babyface win in the main event is fine and a good move but what the fuck, how can you bury literally all of your heels in one show? This is shit head outlaw mudshow booking from the biggest company ever in the business.
