Still more than omewho.

Still a better main event than that DUD between Naito and Suzuki last year.

>thinks the match quality actually matters and not the DIMES drawn
crinfe

still more than AEWho

It does? The current boom in New Japan happened because of Okada-Omega at the Dome. Good matches get people talking and spark interest in the promotion.

rent free

>boom
>NJPW
>hasn't sold out a Tokyo Dome in 20-years
what did the nujapnlet mean by this?

t. Brainlet Western fan
NJPW makes it's money because of characters, personalities and presentation, all before match quality.

ya really need to start charging rent to pay for yer tv timeslot lmao

WK13 was the largest grossing wrestling event in Japanese wrestling history. Why do you think they are doing a Tokyo Dome double shot next year, e-babby? People are spending more money than ever on New Japan and ticket prices are more expensive than ever.

>largest grossing wrestling event
what is in inflation, ya ding-dong diddly simp?
last time they sold out a Tokyo Dome the fucking Twin Towers were still standing.

Can't wait for the memes next January
>Runs Tokyo Dome twice
>doesn't come close to selling out either
>still claims BOOM

you probably need the rent money more to pay people to come to your failure of a dallas show lmao

>what is in inflation, ya ding-dong diddly simp?
Something that doesn't exist in Japan.
Doesn't matter if they don't sell it out, they'll make record profit again whilst ya seethe helplessly on Yea Forums.

GOT EEEEEM

Lol, holy shit the late bloomers actually think this?

>he thinks inflation doesn't exist in Japan and their economy is still stuck in 1996
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>NJPW is booming
>can't sell out the Tokyo Dome to save their lives
>only sells 60% capacity for Cow Palace
>only sells 20% capacity for the G1 Dallas show
>has to rely on piggybacking WWE events to sell out their shows
is there a more JUST promotion atm?

AEW and WWE are worse
But NJPW is a close second. Can't wait for Naito and Tanahashi to be forced into retirement and watch them scramble to replace their draws.

topkek

but Meltz said NJPW has never been better? How can this be, lads?

Bruh. Hold on. Am I reading this right? Are you telling me? No way. You are telling me. That these niggas. Are only performing. In front of. 3k people? OH NO NO NO BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I dont watch this gook shit

>Literally 0 people talking about NJPW on the west before the Kenny Okada match at the Dome
>Biggest WK in decades were in 2018/9. Not 2015/2016
Makes your brain rolling.

Based naito drawing the house at wk12 and making new fans.

>West
Means next to shit for their business, though. It's mostly domestic. The domestic growth in Japan has been consistent, too, that's why 18/19 were big. NJPW are a minimal market in the West with or without Kenny.

Didn't see any idols crying after WK12.
Reminder that JURINA became a wrestling fan after watching Omega-Okada (1/4/17).
A fake fighting match made her tear ducts swell as well as probably other parts of her body.
Someone so influential becoming a fan of wrestling is obviously going to more eyes to the promotion.
Not to mention the amount of critical acclaim it received from sports media conveyors and fans alike.
It means "shit" for the Tokyo Dome show where thousands of western fans from all over the world were in attendance. You wouldn't have drawn a record number if not for those fans. New Japan isn't really creating new fans domestically, but they are creating New Japans internationally. That is why the western expansion is so important to them.

>The elite by themselves (Without NJPW) sell out a +10.000 arena on a non wrestling city and +5000 seats for FFTF during pre-sale

Looks like the problem was with NJPW on how they promoted Kenny.

>you

I don't give a ding-dong diddly fuck about NJPW, just pointing out you're really overstating the Western shit. I haven't watched them since like, mid-2018.
If they're not creating new fans domestically, why are they running more regular shows with more frequent sell-outs?
Those thousands of Western fans comprise basically the bulk of their paying Western fanbase, as evidenced by their inability to draw a house in America. They're really not vital to their overall business, which is largely gate-driven and domestic.

>the Elite by themselves

Hype for a new promotion. AEW has a lot of E-Drones interested in a domestic, viable alternative to WWE right now.
It's basically running on initial hype and the name value attributed to that. I'm not saying Kenny wasn't a draw, I'm saying American fans are less likely to excite themselves for a promotion not rooted in their country that gives them B/C Cards and doesn't market/advertise their events properly than one on their national turf that promises a televised product they can keep up with.

Also, as an addition, you're using their biggest event as a sample.
Of course people are going to fly in for that. What about the REST of the year when they're not, and their regular, more frequent touring schedule is supported by the Japanese? Buffered with infrequent visits to the states?
America isn't really important to NJPW. It was a nice ancillary market, but not even as firm as their footing in the UK. They never even got close to "cracking" America. It was all novelty.

They're not vital? Again, the Tokyo Dome show this year and last wouldn't have drawn record profits if not for the thousands of western fans in attendance. Takaaki Kidani even thanked Omega on twitter for the overall boost in overseas tickets sales which was unprecedented.

See >one event means the world to NJPW
When American fans are flying in for Dontaku, Dominion, regular nights of the G1, KoPW, all that shit, they'll matter.
One night is nice but certainly not a meaningful market.

Oh and, before you say
>it's not just one night
Yeah, it's a bunch of other smaller nothing shows they couldn't fill the house for even with Kenny.
Not meaningful, and you're taking the most beneficial sample for your stance while discounting the minimal effect the Western audience has on NJPW's very gate-driven revenue for the remainder of the year.

>Only 26
>Former Young Lion
>Better talker than Omega, AJ, and Devitt
>Gedo sees something in him

Give him time, brothers.

I don't really care about attendance, but the main event was actually pretty good. Jay White wrestles like a veteran, he is something special.

Plus he's starting to grow a beard, and that helps a lot.

>Better than Kenny and AJ
