The problem with the Golden Truth was Truth was an eccentric comic added to yet another eccentric comic like Goldust, instead of being the straight man like Booker was, so the pair didn't work

To me the problem wasn't even Booker losing at WM. I didn't even care about the alleged racist undertones
I would have no problem with all of that if they didn't book the buildup with such an extreme underdog babyface vs. entitled heel slant beforehand
And on top of doing that type of buildup, not only do you have the heel still beat the face, you have him do it in one of the dumbest match endings I've ever seen: the heel hits his finisher, takes nearly 30 seconds to pin and STILL gets the 3-count on the underdog face
They didn't even bother to let Booker kick out for a pop, THEN have him lose a few minutes later by shenanigans, which would have at least made sense
