no but i feel bad for him, punk screwed him over

BOOM BOOM!
Yes I do.
Cabana with Toru Yano was really fucking entertaining even though it's making a mockery of wrestling.

Also the parts Cabana has done with MJF have been so fucking fun to watch.

his match against aldis made me realize he's a pretty good technical wrestler and i wish he dropped the comedy bullshit

This is what pisses me off a lot of the time.
A lot of the "comedy" wrestlers can have incredible matches if they want to, I used to hate Toru Yano and Taguchi, but after watching a few of their matches where they actually drop the comedy and wrestle, they're actually brilliant.
Just doesn't happen often enough.

This has been the story of Cabana's career. He's a pretty good worker, he would just rather "entertain" then put on a technical wrestling match.

cant blame them for working less to get the same reaction

He's good but not fantastic. There are hundreds of wrestlers who are good technicians but unless you're incredible or lucky you'll get looked over. Lot of people like Colt's comedy and it lets him stand out over "Bearded white guy who wrestles good #253"

Most comedy guys are actual great. Cabana is insanely good but what I don't like about him is that he generally just does the same match every show. He could have had a really good run with a big title if he didn't phone it in so much.
DANSHOKU DINO is also unironically one of the best workers in the world but he's mostly known for lower card comedy matches.

does anyone?

That's the thing. Without the goofy shit, he's nothing. Instead of finding a marketable gimmick/persona/whatever you want to use to make a shit ton of money in the big leagues, he just got washed out of WWE developmental and started doing his comedy.

His podcasts are cozy and help my commute. I almost bought a shirt

>white

I used to like his podcast. It was cool hearing from indy guys I'd never heard of. Then all we was doing was posting live shows, no more one on one interviews. At about the same time he started talking politics out of nowhere. I wouldn't mind it but he was so vague with what he was talking about. Like he wanted so badly to discuss current events but then would stop because he realized he didn't have a clear point.

He was never big enough to be a top guy. Being a low tier jobber was his ceiling.

why and when did wrestling go from 90% republican wrestlers to seemingly 50/50?

When the mark got inside the ring.

Even Nakamura in his book thought Taguchi was very talented

I can tolerate Yano and Cabana because most of their comedy still falls within bounds of wrestling unlike a PWG finger in the ass spot, Chikara's slow motion or a Joey Ryan dick flip.
Also gives guys a little bit of a rest whenever the G1 comes around.

no jew

I've gone from fucking hating him to looking forward to the next time I get to see him.
I love the rugby entrances he's doing right now, and it's got nothing to do with the fact that I live in Rugby (where the game was invented).

>""""""""""Comedy"""""""""" """"""""""Wrestler""""""""""
>Not funny
>Can't wrestle
What did he mean by this?
