Do you think Triple H and The Rock genuinely don't like each other?

or is it just a work for jabroni marks like me to fall for?

They ironically follow each other on Twitter.

I think the rock is the type to forgive but not forget. He can deal with HHH cordialy on the surface, but deep down remembers how HHH tried to bury him all those years ago. Pretty sure he deals exclusively with Vince anyways.

I bet HHH is seething that The Rock is still to this day more over than him.

It's a work but they do probably have some animosity considering they came in at the same time and took two wildly different career paths. Also the respect he had for Austin isn't there.

Paul knows his middle child has different complex to her skin and knows the seed was planted by Dwayne during the summer of 2012.

Shawn and Hunter tried to bury Rock specifically because he was a threat to Hunter and they would have if Bret didn't protect him. Plus Shawn disrespected Rock's grandma back in the territory days. I'm sure Rock is civil but there's no way he likes Triple H, not that it would even matter because Triple H is not on his level and shouldn't be dealing with him anyway.

this
rock will do his work even if he hates it to death because he's based and professional

>The Rock would stopped wrestling full-time in 2001, heading for Hollywood. A move that worked out pretty well for him, I think. But the rivalry with Triple H still wouldn’t die. A lot of people point at Triple H for being jealous of The Rock’s success, especially in light of how much Hunter struggled to break into Hollywood. Triple H lobbied…hard…to be cast as Conan in a major movie. He even created a masturbatory Conan-based WrestleMania entrance when he was passed over for the role. When Triple H failed to make it, the story of his exclusion from Hollywood changed. The narrative became “I decided to stay” and Rock “decided to leave,” which may not be as true as “Rock was chosen over me.”

>Triple H’s retelling of the story of Rock going to Hollywood is hilarious (from his WWE doc Thy Kingdom Come):

>“I remember Vince coming up to me and Rock and saying…'[I want to] try to put you two in a couple of movies.’ I remember Rock being really excited and then Rock leaving and me saying ‘Can I talk to you for a second?’…I really didn’t have any interest in it at the time.”

The Game? More like The Cope

Don't forget Gaytch politicked backstage for Vince to let Rock's contract to expire in 2005. They say Rock didn't take it well, he felt betrayed by the company.

I still think the reign of terror was really about Gaytch coping with Rock going to Hollywood while he was stuck in the circus for life

Isn’t it wild that being a huge star and working with stone cold and the rock and marring a billionaires daughter wasn’t enough? I like triple h as a wrestler but damn the man will never be satisfied.

>>“I remember Vince coming up to me and Rock and saying…'[I want to] try to put you two in a couple of movies.’

Lmao.

Remember when Bret Hart was supposed to beat Rock clean, but went to Vince and had it changed because he thought Rock had potential to be a top guy, and it worked Gaytch into a shoot?

Wasn’t there a shoot where someone said the rock slapped Shawnetty backstage for politicking him? I’d bet he has a business only attitude with Gaytch

Based Bret has been triggering this simp for decades

Duh mother fuckers

Rock looks back fondly with nostalgia and thinks HHH is a good guy.
HHH looks at rock with anger and jealousy.

In all the time The Rock was in WWE, Shawn Michaels was the allegedly the only guy he refused to work with in an actual match. It's even part of its own urban legend of sorts, one that says Michaels racially abused The Rocks mother years early before Rocky got into the business himself.

Dwayne probably does a few months of shooting a year and spends the rest of his time promoting shit, getting shit made, and chilling. Triple H is still traveling often and is working for a potentially senile old man who takes his NXT babies and does what he wants with them.

I mean, yeah, depending on how the inheritance goes Paul could end up wealthier than Dwayne in the long run, but Dwayne has all the money he could want. I don't think anyone in their right mind would prefer to be Triple H.

He can acomplish anything he likes, it wont get rip of his crippling inferiority complex.

Based Hunter really is the cerebral assassin.

Imagine being Rocky in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Hunter, you a fuckin' draw, all over with your crowd pops and awesome mad max entrance theme. I would totally have a top 5 drawing match with you, both my character and the real me." when all he really wants to do is make another $16 million filming Jumanji 2. Like seriously imagine having to be The Rock and not only stand in that ring while Hunter Hearst Helmsley pretends he draws half as much as you, the favorable lighting barely concealing his giant nose and leathery skin, and just stand there, second after second, minute after minute, while he perfected that angry face look. Not only having to tolerate his monstrous fucking ego but his haughty attitude as everyone backstage tells him he's STILL GOT IT and DAMN, HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY GETS POPS LIKE THAT?? because they're not the ones who have to stand there and watch his retarded fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been filming nothing but a healthy diet of blockbusters and interviews and TV spots for your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the sunny skies in Florida. You've never even seen anything this fucking jabroni before, and now you swear you can hear the tarps that's breaking out over the empty seats as he rolls them out to writhe it suggestively at you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to stand there and revel in his "kingdom (for that is what he calls himself)", the kingdom he worked so hard for by pretending he was straight to fuck Stephanie in the previous years. And then the ref calls for another spot, and you know you could out draw every single person in this arena before the wwe security could put you down, but you stand there and endure, because you're fucking The Rock. You're not going to lose your future political career over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.

The Rock's charisma and abiltiy got him over with the crowd despite all the fucking politics being played by the kliq back in the day. the Rock was never pushed as a face. he became one because the crowd always cheered for him no matter what happened.

>“I remember Vince coming up to me and Rock and saying…'[I want to] try to put you two in a couple of movies.
What are the chances he was talking to dwayne and trips was just in the room?

digits of the ultimate truth

The Rock is shoot gay and his Hollywood career is in the shits.

Trips is married with kids and set to inherit a multibillion dollar franchise.

Jokes on you, Trips never got a son.

the rock, despite not making a single good movie, is drowning in money. the second vince moves on from wwe, it will be over in 5 years max. it already hasn't been doing too hot

Literally working on a dozen upcoming movies and has two releasing this year, laughable idiot

The Rock is the highest paid actor in the world and the gay shit was just made up by the seething Kliqetties

Thing is; he knows underneath that he's a B+ player and achieved nothing to prove otherwise.

I don't think their bad blood ever reached Shawn/Bret in 97 levels but I don't doubt for a second that they don't like each other much.

I think the Rock contract renewal bit in 2005 was what really clinched it.

Who wrote this?

...

>the rock was top 3 WWE stars ever
>is a massively successful actor, financially if not critically

>HHH was upper midcard until all of the real stars left
>his only role in a successful film was being a faggot vampire with a tiny dog in Blade
>i watched this movie in theaters and also watched WWE and had no idea he was even in it at all

HHH's jealousy of the Rock is so obvious it hurts. Eternally B+ player that killed the business.

The greatest victory for the Rock is that he doesn't care.

Trips was small fry B+player back in the Attitude Era and he hasn't changed. The booking changed and the number of fans changed to reflect the B+player pretending to be a big deal. Does the Rock care though? No. Meanwhile Trips is never going to be satisfied. He can't draw like top guys could. He can't convince the fans he was just as big as Austin or Rock or Foley. He can't be content with being a HOF lock inheriting the company and becoming the new Vince because nobody else is allowed nice things but him

He seethes and grits his teeth then plots his next 15 minute too long match while the Rock gets laid hits the weights and has more clues than he knows what to do with

Troof.

based

IIRC another thing Rock didn't like was him putting over Goldberg, Hurricane and Eugene, only for Hunter to turn around and beat them all.

lol fucking Gaytch squashed the whole roster during his shitty 02-04 run

>user gets quad trips
>quad trips
>trips tears his quads
Absolutely based

Sad thing is no one talks to Rock anymore. Foley is weird about him and so is Jericho and Austin.

Rock probably talks to Vince and that's it.

Based and kek'd

"Well Hunter, you really drew the house. As promised, your payment of a hot dog and 200 square feet of tarp is waiting in the locker room. Good work champ"

do you think he even cares? Wrestlers are carnies, don’t forget. I bet a lot of the guys were asking for favors (money) and he cut them out of his life.

When I was a little kid I thought they hated each other.

Rock has a chip on his shoulder because he's a self-hating black. HHH always knew how to push those buttons. It's a love-hate relationship
