Yeah they let them go because each guy was a midcard act and for different reasons it was easier to cut bait and avoid having to deal with the issues of keeping them. Now that those things have gone and past they would be stupid to not keep a eye on them to see if they can generate some buzz. They invested alot of T.V. time in both characters. It's not like they are going out of their way to just have some guy on the staff keep tabs on shows and read twitter and such.
