Hi Zoomer, clearly you weren't watching then. The Ginyu Force were huge overseas and were brought in just to help Vegeta get over more as a rebellious babyface and give somebody the uneasy Goku-Vegeta alliance somebody to unite against. They were never earmarked for being top guys, although I think Ginyu could have been a big singles star on his own if not for the dumb frog gimmick.

what? they spent like 8 episodes building up there arrival and made it seem like the end of the world was coming. the weakest one then proceeded to decimate Vegeta (the top heel in the previous story arc) without trying. Vegeta even said every member has a power level equal to or stronger than himself.
