>Someone who was born when pic related happened is now a legal adult
wtf
Someone who was born when pic related happened is now a legal adult
>9/11 was 35 years ago
>Super Mario 64 came out 44 years ago
>The Apollo Moon Landing was 95 years ago
>Nash was raped 27 years ago
yes, and i wanna inseminate every one of them!!!
Yes time passes on in a linear fashion. Cry me a river boomer, I was like 10 when this happened, I remember my parents didn't want to cough up the money for the ppv.
>I remember my parents didn't want to cough up the money for the ppv
lmao pathetic poorfag
Poor fag. I was there in lower level.
>was like 10 when this happened, I remember my parents didn't want to cough up the money for the ppv.
I was 12 and this was the only ppv my parents ever let me order. I still don't know why they gave in on this one. The only other ppv I saw live at the time was at my cousin's house. We watched Over the Edge, the one where Owen died. Nobody in school believed me the next day, they thought it was fake. I don't know what my point is or why I'm typing this.
I don't know which is more depressing, this fact or the fact this was the end of the last boom period and another is n e v e r coming.
>Time passes
What a shocking discovery
Why are you surprised? I mean, didn't Rhea said she watched Miz wrestle during her childhood.
People younger than you now work for the WWE and they appear on TV every week
>remember what a huge fucking deal this was to literally EVERY kid who was watching wrestling back then
>couldnt get to watch it live because parents hated wrestling
>some girl overhears me and my friend talking about it
>"my dad just taped this last night. I can see if he'll let you borrow it?"
>she brings the tape the next day
One of my best memories of 8th grade desu.
its now wonder so many people here don't realise how big and mainstream wrestling was during that time period
>there are people on Yea Forums right now who were old enough to watch X-7 live and still watch wrestling as grown fucking men
This. Its like the stars aligned and god said "here be thy end to the biggest wrestling boom in history" and it was. I concur. We ll never see wrestling at that much mainstream height ever again.
>there are people on the wrestling section of a Viet Cong propaganda website who never experienced WM X-7 live and took an interest later when it turned utter shit
>Rhea said she watched Miz wrestle during her childhood.
Holy shit, girls in middle & high school used to watch wrestling?
t. born in '99
My parents didn't want me to watch wrestling. I never saw PPVs until I got a job and a coworker would tape them for me.
Should have gone into business for yourself with her
>There are people surprised that people use the internet
Why are Faye Reagan and Bree Olson accosting Asa Akira?
Everybody watched wrestling. WWE kind of spins this female empowerment narrative the fanbase was all rowdy fratboys till the Bellas came aong but it's rubbish. Watch any old WWE/WCW/ECW show of the era and there are a fuckton of females in the audience, much hotter ones than you see now too.
Bliss, Sasha, Bayley watched Rey/Cena/Eddie/Batista
Surprise when someone grew up watching Seeth Rawlins, Ramen Reigns or Corbin
Imagine being born too late to witness the greatest mania main event ever.
Yea Forums is now full of 22 year old zoomers
.....That's weird...Getting into wrestling cause of The Miz.....A guy who wrestles like a CAW
I'm only here for wrestlemania, can't imagine what kind of loser tunes in for 52+ shows a year.
I have the first print DVD still. I’ll sell it for one bitcoin
I was 11
wrestling and south park were the height of youth culture in the late 90s
>You can now legally fuck this match
Based
everyone watched it my little negro. if you wore a pro wrestling shit in public many people would talk to you about what happened on the last Nitro or Raw
Truth. Even the top tier stacies of my school knew what the DX crotch chop, the peoples eyebrow, the Hoooooo Train were. It was as mainstream in 98-00 as capeshit is now.
Not 52 weeks a year but I probably catch 65% of Raws and smackdown and close to the same for PPVs
Also married, 2 kids, HHI of $750k a year, good friends etc
Face it WWE is great, go back to watching your Indy shitters on Twitch
All the girls at my high school wanted to fuck The Rock and Jeff Hardy so badly
oh my little sweetie.
EVERYONE watched it back then. The girls in the crowd would be hotter than the sluts backstage. For the girls, it was roided up beefcakes. For the guys, it was creative violence and spectacle. Everybody won.
My parents didn't order it but my cool uncle hotwired our box to get the PPV for free.
Based wild and untamed pre-9/11 world.
imagine feeling the need to make up all this shit to justify watching wrestling as a full grown adult kek
> Jeff Hardy
I don't think there was ever a wrestler who's entire early career was boosted solely on getting huge pops from girls in the audience like Jeff did. It's crazy to think about now when there's no other guy in the company that came that close with the exception of John Cena.
I'm that same user and I was at Night of Champions 2009. Jeff received the biggest pop of the night, even bigger than Cena.
Goddamn Dong Diddly, WWE has sucked for 18 years?
>that cool friend who had a black box stolen cable and got all the PPVs for free
my heart weeps for zoomers
That fucking look
I'm from a blue-collar area of North Carolina and a lot of my female classmates liked Austin because he reminded them of their dads.
