God I hated those kids, I always fucked with more eclectic pokemon, I LOVED poison types and based my teams around plant/poison/bug/ghost mostly.

no thanks. I play with not wasting time in mind. Bulba BTFOs the first two gyms, Nidoking destroys Surge + Blaine, flying type for Erika, Starmie for Koga + Sabrina, then it loops back around and Venusaur becomes useful again against Giovanni and Bruno in the E4. Usually grab Zapdos to replace whatever shitter flying type I had, and those four are really all you need.
