>Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Booker T will all be receiving their second HOF induction this year
Three fucking people going in twice.
Can we finally admit the HOf is meaningless?

There literally isn't a physical hall of fame.
A wrestling HOF will only ever matter if somebody has the balls to create a union or a guild.
I’ve been wanting this to happen for awhile. Each year they could have a Wrestlers Guild Awards show where they give out awards for MOTY, WOTY etc. This would all be voted on anonymously, by members of the guild, which would be wrestlers and wrestling personalities.
Every year they’d run a HOF, with 3 or so people going in. Who goes in would also be decided by the people who are registered members of the guild.
Implying they all aren't worth of being inducted twice
They aren’t. It completely fucking defeats the purpose of a HOF. When Shawn Michaels was inducted he was inducted for his whole career, not his career that was seperate from DX.
Fucking X-Pac is going in. What in the absolute fuck did he do to help revolutionise the business?
Why is Paul in the center?
>finally
what did he mean by this
lol it’s funny watching them scramble as they run out of people to induct
He worked dumb marks like you
You know wrestling is fake right?
because DX was by far the most over when he was the babyface leader in 98
What exactly is your issue here?
Shawn Michaels and DX (which happens to include Shawn) are two notable entities in pro wrestling history
Both entities are worthy of a HOF induction. It just so happens that means Shawn technically goes in twice. So what's the problem?
Are you suggesting that all tag teams/stables not be inductees, just to avoid wrestlers going in more than once? Because even the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame doesn't do that
Nobody bitched when the Beatles got inducted as a group, then each individual member got inducted again for their post-Beatles solo careers
And? Every entertainment medium is fake. They still have guilds and awards shows.
The problem is that they induct too many people each year, and are beginning to run out of inductees.
When are they gonna start inducting the E Ce Dub guys
I’m more irked that HHH is putting himself in. Not even Vince at his most egomaniacal would do that.
Call me naive, but for once I think this induction was something other than Triple H's ego
I think they strategically inducted DX to get Chyna in, to avoid too much backlash against Triple H/Stephanie had they inducted her solo
They clearly were never gonna induct her alive because she was too unstable and unpredictable for a live speech/appearance
If she went in solo even after death, there would still be too much spotlight and negative attention on Triple H and Stephanie leading up to the ceremony, from people who (unfairly) blame them for her self-destruction. Look at how much shade they both got on the internet when Chyna died and they tweeted their condolences
This was the best way to get it over with. Even though she definitely deserves a solo spot, she's not getting one anytime soon if ever. But at least now they don't have to deal with fans crying about her not being in
So the Cauliflower Alley Club HoF?
It's a hall of fame for pretend fights where the winner is picked by an old man who is obsessed with beefy men. It's as meaningless as wrestling itself. It always has been and always will be.
All these 2X inductees are just a prelude to when HHH inducts himself at least 4X. Flair will be a 3X because they’ll eventually induct Evolution, but HHH will also go in for himself and for McMahon-Helmsley, maybe even the Two-Man Power-Trip.
Torrie fucking Wilson is in. No thanks
Yeah, they induct 6-7 people/stables a year, and WWE does not create 6-7 HOF worthy talents a year. Wells gonna run dry soon
Why do they still do the HoF? Does anyone really give a shit about it
>Can we finally admit the HOf is meaningless?
when didn't we "admit" this?
Vince says it himself on RAW
>It completely fucking defeats the purpose of a HOF.
how?
>Fucking X-Pac is going in. What in the absolute fuck did he do to help revolutionise the business?
he was in D-Generation X
Daily reminder at one point in his career Wade Barrett was in the top 10 longest combined reigns for the IC title of all time. Wade Barrett is 100% going to be a WWE Hall of Famer some day.
>nobody mentions the snoop doog enduction
Snoop fricking doog got enducted, i will give you a minute to let that sink in.
Snoop doog.
Soon™
Snoop Dogg is based and has been involved with them a lot
try someone like Drew Carrey or Koko B. Ware
The problem isn't too many people a year; remember they can induct people from WWE, WCW, ECW and even legendary wrestlers/characters that were never in any of those 3. They can easily spread that selection out with 6 or 7 annual inductees over a couple of decades
The problem is this: they induct too many BIG NAMES per year. It should only be one solo household-name wrestler/heavily-pushed-in-their-prime wrestler a year that can draw in the normies to a particular ceremony
I'll never forget when they inducted Warrior, Scott Hall and Jake the Snake in the same year. Another time they inducted Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Perfect and Jerry Lawler together. All six of those guys could have headed an individual class with lesser-known people under them
To me, the perfect WWE HOF format is the following:
A solo wrestler who is normie-recognizable either by being a main-event draw (Hogan, Flair), by being heavily pushed in the main event for a period despite not being a huge draw (Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels) or for being a famous upper midcarder worthy of a main-event run they never got (Jake The Snake, Piper, Mr. Perfect)
A notable midcarder who isn't exactly normie-recognizable but who had their prime years in the 80s or earlier (Ricky Steamboat, Junkyard Dog). They can have 1 or 2 of these a year
Any notable midcarder who was moderately popular/recognizable in the 90s or later (Godfather, Rikishi). They can have 1 or 2 of these a year
Any notable tag team/stable from any era (Wild Samoans, Von Erichs, Harlem Heat)
Any notable female wrestler from any era (Jacqueline, Mae Young, Lita)
Any notable manager/valet/commentator/interviewer/referee/authority figure from any era (JR, Mean Gene, Paul Bearer, Teddy Long)
Any celebrity/athlete that did something notable in the company (Trump, Mr. T, Mike Tyson)
>induct all of your stars
>don't make more stars
At the rate this is going the 2030 WWE Hall of Fame will be Rob Van Dam (rip), Chris Masters, Edge (3rd induction as part of Rated RKO), Carlito and one of Godfather's hoes.
Him remixing Sasha's entrance is the only time I cared about the horse desu
wait why are they going in twice?
This, great idea. I dunno why they never put together something like that, wrestling has been around forever.
fake isn't the right word, idk why you guys insist on using that word.
