watch American wrestling and listen to the announcers (they get it wrong very frequently in WWE consistently calling moves by the wrong names but whatever close enough)

multiple moves have two names:
front facelock = front chancery
suicide dive = tope suicida
reverse frankensteiner = poisoned frankensteiner (frequently wrongly called reverse hurricanrana/reverse rana)
complete shot = flatliner = reverse STO
etc.

common points of confusion:
the difference between a lariat and a clothesline is that a lariat is swung like a punch but a clothesline is not

the difference between a hurricanrana and a frankensteiner is that a hurricanrana ends in a rana clutch (pin with one guy essentially sitting on the other's face or chest and usually holding the legs) and a frankensteiner does not

etc., and many moves are frequently mis-called even in bigger companies but it's easy to get close enough and even wrestlers just use whatever words people around them will understand for moves

the rest should eventually just come naturally once you've watched enough wrestling

You play the video games and learn the moves when you make all kinds of custom characters. I played a lot of Smackdown HCTP back in the day.

One of my favorite moves is the It Bites a Forehead. I also love the Combination: the opponent receives a knee to the back, which brings him to his knees. He receives two quick chops to the face and chest, and is then shoved face-first to the ground. Brutal. The ultimate finishing maneuver. No one, human or COM, has ever kicked out.

It's like boxing, instead of saying "great counter right hook." They should say "he punched him again, download the punch app". Genius, send me my checks.
