2006 ONS was shit you edgy fag

This is the best usage of the Money in the Bank of all time. Even though it worked wonders for Edge, every other shitty "surprise" cash in has lowered the prestige of the title and generally failed to get whoever cashed in over, because the briefcase is used as an excuse to book someone like shit until they cash in.

Considering Wrestlemania is considered in kayfabe as the most prestigious event, it makes zero sense why a face who wins it hasn't just flat out said "I'm going to main event against whoever the champion is, and I'm going to win" much like RVD did. You set up a nice, long term booking arc. Then you go and have the wrestler make good on it and actually win, and boom, someone actually gets over for once in this shit company.

They tried it with Braun but forgot that you actually have to put them over otherwise they look like a simp
