I would quit my job instantly and I assume a lot of other people would. It would be a massive pay increase for me so why would I bend my back into sawdust making pizzas and doing dishes anymore? This user is right. I got to the point where a week felt like a day used to. It was crazy. I would wake up and go to sleep with the hours in between feeling like only 3 or 4 hours or so. I think total complacence must be psychologically damaging in some really important way.

I make $10 an hour and I don't need to make that much so I prefer to work like 20 hours a week. That's $800 a month before government extortion, which is perfectly fine for me in my situation. I don't pay rent so there's no need to fuck my back and have so little free time. Free time is very important to me and the only reason I work is because I have to (I'm becoming a pro wrestler after saving money which I don't consider "work" because I love it so much). If I had $1000 a month guaranteed my life would be entirely leisure until the day I die because I prefer a tiny house with nothing fancy and I live in a cheap place.

I was no money neet who would sleep at 6am and wake up to the sound of my mother coming into the house at around 5pm and pretend i've been up all that time. she'd have made dinner after about an hour or 2 and i'd eat it and then just watch tv shows until around 6am again. it was awesome but also hell on earth. i decided to do some exercise in my room and also sorted out my sleeping schedule and ate a bit better, only water too...after about a month i asked my mother for money for a hair cut. i then started applying for jobs and got one. the work starts with you, if you cba to get better then yeah it doesn't get better. i can now afford takeaway and booze whenever i want. i'm still a manchild but at least i'm not completely useless

the kicker is that even for like a waiter job you're competing with college degrees and people with years of experience, and the longer you're without work the less likely they are to hire you
