He protected the rock from being buried by the kek. He also put over stone cold in the best match in wwe history.
Butt the Shitman Fart
lay with bret
Based Bret
No no no, it should be BREATH the Shitman Fart
*tanked the business*
Why? is shawn the champion?
People call him bitter but almost everything he says is right.
Bret & Shawn were the figureheads of the lowest drawing era in WWF history
He was set to be the main character of all of wrestler. It's amazing how Hunter took his spot.
Not their fault everyone who could have put them over to elevate them fucked off or where held back from doing so
Guys under six feet don't draw
>you look at someone like Hunter and you think ‘what has he ever really done?’
Based and truthpilled
>le cracked magazine name XD
I don't disagree that Bret was kind of a whiny shitter, but come on.
He's an incredibly bitter guy and a super self mark but damn, Bret was the shit. I'm in my mid 30's and Bret was always my favourite. Living through the mid 90's era of Wrestling just before the AE hit was a trip as a kid and Bret was just fucking awesome. He's legit top 5 to ever lace them as well.
Oh gee I wonder why Bret is bitter
>screwjob
>Vince killed his brother
>career ending injury from a dangerous shitter who shouldn’t have been wrestling
>also has a stroke due to that concussion
>all his friends are dead
>the main person who helped derail his career will eventually run WWE
>the other person is memed by WWE is the goat, even though Bret was better
Was put on top after Bret had driven off every casual fan in 93 and 94
>Hunter is a liar
>HBK is a primadonna
>Flair had 6 moves
>Goldberg is a moron
>predicts that TNA was going to be garbage
somehow telling the truth makes you bitter
How does it feel knowing that Kane was a better Diesel than Kevin Nash?
Shawn was better
Dude had awesome glasses. I used to think his pink dress was gay but he looks cool desu. Like a pink killing machine.
dude, nash also drew shit in that era
Nah.
this
Bret would have never be over in ae
...
I'll admit it. Damn, we need more guys like this in the business. Someone at the top that'll stands up for others, and will stand up to the boss.
>inb4 CM Punk
He literally started it you imbecile, watch some 97.
>it's butthart thread
Unironically believes in his mule kicked mind that he would still be Champ if Godberg hadn’t taken out the trash.
He left when it started
by that logic austin's run should have had low ratings because of shawn preceding him. times were hard for wrestling in the early to mid 90s, even the hulkster wasn't drawing shit in the few years before his nwo heel turn.
Looking back I'd rather have had Bret stay in WWF than Shawn.
And the fucked up thing was Shawn didn't stay much longer. He was MIA during the best years of Rock and Austin.
Heel Bret was amazing. He could've worked both.
>makes Austin the biggest star in the entire business
Fucks like HHH and HBK had to begin mitigating Bret's legacy. At the same time putting NWA's champion Ric Flair over in New York. That's some ol' bullshit.
Bret Hart was such a WWF guy, a company man. But still willing to speak out.
Like, a legit good guy.
Instead we chose druggie HBK and his coked up, womanizing hero while Vince had no choice but to mitigate Bret's accomplishments.
Business is business with Vince, but he'd never get a stand-up company poster boy like until he found Cena, a talent he had to force on us.
Bret worked heel or face and got over the hard way.
Damn. Life sucks.
18+
Bullshit, his series with Flair did WCW's best numbers ever, WCW overtook WWF as #1 as soon as Hogan jumped ship
>Old hag memes
Begging ya to go back to Yea Forums
*best numbers at that time
at being pilled up? Faking injuries? Dropping titles because he's selfish and won't put anyone besides his 3 friends over without protest?
m8 what the fuck are you smoking
wcw ratings and house show numbers were both lower than wwf until the monday night wars/nwo
WCW was a tv company you dumb fuck, you don't know shit about ratings, no one has figures on Saturday Night and Worldwide shows, as soon as Nitro started they were winning consistently - because they had a bigger audience base from the start
Only if you buy into WWE's narrative that it 'started' at WM14, which is fucking stupid.
BASES GOAT
oh no no ding-dong diddly no
imagine being a hulketty mark
based
WCW ONLY DID TV TAPINGS @ DISNEY IN 95 YOU DUMB NIGGER FAGGOT, HOLY SHIT YOURE RETARDED
WWE is always right, you smarks don't know shit
Fuck. We chose wrong.
How can Brian Pillman waving a gun around and threatening to shoot Steve Austin not be considered part of the Attitude Era?
look at this hulketty mark seething
it must hurt to know that not only did austin and rock outdraw hogan during the attitude era, but bret was also drawing bigger houses before that
WCW WAS A TV COMPANY, VINCE LOST MONEY ON HOUSE SHOWS IN 95, GO JERK OFF VINCE MCKEK'S CIRCUMSIZED DICK
It's not though when you think about it.
From 80s Hogan era, to the new generation to suddenly gun waving on TV?
It was such a huge jump and such a departure that it could be seen just a comical (to any adult) as Doink or Duke the dumpster.
WWF never had to be cool, they just had to maintain a relevance, usually through children.
Really, the only thing that did was to look at what was cool last the time --Terminator 2, 90s edge-- and grow the same kid audience up only a few more years. They definitely carried their same 80s audience over by catering to that specific teenager age group, whereas in the 80s it was children.
I see Pillman's angle as growing pains into becoming something new and edgy for a company that never had to take it quite there before.
The baby snake giving all the venom because it didn't know any better. That was some dark shit, along with the ministry and the faction race wars.
Attitude era as it's remembered now is titties and crotch chops, and of course Austin/McMahon.
That period was a weird time for sure.
I'll grant you the Pillman gun angle was baby steps as far as the Attitude Era went but by the time another year passed in late 97 it was fully formed. By the time Austin won the belt in 98 it was almost a formality since he'd been the biggest star in the company for at least a year at that point.
I think it could still be argued that it's the Attitude Era in its nascent stages. That whole angle doesn't fit the New Generation. It was setting the tone for what was to come, even though they had to reel it back a little due to backlash.
without 97 bret, there is no 97 shawn
Based
this
out of all the self mark carnies in this business, Bret is probably one of the few who has a right to be bitter
Bret is the best mind for the business in history, on every level.
From individual moves, to full matches, to entire six month feuds.
This
"I went to see Bret when I was a kid, the guy will always be the greatest. Still to this day nobody can touch his in-ring ability. Flawless submissions and perfectly executed grappling. He will always be a hero to me and I respect him greatly"-Bret Hart
Quick reminder that Shawn was only big because apart from Bret there was no one else around at that time that had any real talent. He didn't take the big WCW money because he knew he would just be another guy on the roster over there.
Letting Vince and Pat Patterson use his twink arse like a playground also helped him of course.
*tanked business*
true
Nash was an innovator, he invented the nWo, Stone Cold Gimmik, Monday Night Wars, DX, Attitude Era.
Jacobs is just a stooge who lives in others shadow. When copying Nash failed he just copied Carder.
You take Nash out from history things would be vastly different. You take Jacobs out and nothing changes.
Ric Flair was awful in ring. The same 70s style match every night. Once you'd seen one match, you'd seen them all.
played like a fiddle
>three years of getting near or over 10,000 fans just in house shows
>cant even sell out Raw today
Seeing those numbers was actually more depressing than I expected
Better than HBGay at least
no one in germany gave a rats ass about wcw
wwf on the other hand was the shit and if you arent a DIESEL fan get out of my face right now

It’s meltz, of course it’s real
>Hulk and UW ruin the biz
>i-it was Hitman and HBK's fault
Bret and Shawn kept the business alive during Vince's battle with the federal government, you shit.
because they were fun to hang out with you friendless incel
Not this
>He protected the rock from being buried by the kek
has Rock ever talked abut that
That would be Luger, Flair, Papa Shango, and forcing Macho Man out when he still had plenty left in the tank.

Butt the Shitman Fart
It's a mystery. Remember they only became friends with Hunter so that he'd be their designated driver.
1. 97 Bret
2. 97 Austin
3. 97 Shawn
And I'm a massive 90s HBK mark
OH NO NO NO
There are 3 parts to the Attitude Era
>First began in late 95 to 97; Diesel flipping people off, cutting work shoot promos on Vince, using tables in the Survivor Series match, Sunny in a bathtub opening Raw, Pillman has a gun, everything up to the the summer 97
>late 97 through 99; the Russo years. The definitive Attitude Era.
>2000 to WM17; still the Attitude Era but a much different product, loaded roster from massive momentum and higher production values from going public, less shock TV
He also dropped truth bombs about Seth being an unsafe worker
>Vince's battle with the Federal Government
When did this match happen?
1993 and Vince went over
He means the steroid scandal in 93 where Vince would've lost the company had he lost in court.
>Vince would've lost the company had he lost in court.
No he wouldn't
>Inside wrestling, mark and N word both used similarly in that era.
Based Bret BTFOing the XD manchildren.
