There are 6 options: A. Chris Jericho Everything seemed to be going well for NJPW until Jericho came over.
B. Cody Rhodes See: Jericho. Bullet Club took a sharp downturn when Cody began leeching off of it. Did he sink the ship?
C. Dave Meltzer NJPW's #1 cheerleader seemed to have jumped ship soon as Kenny and the Bucks left.
D. Kenny & the Bucks The big draws of NJPW left the company starving for top western talent.
E. The WWE Signed Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Gallows & Anderson along with many others that NJPW was using as top guys. This left them reliant on Kenny and the Bucks to aid in western expansion.
F. NJPW Their reliance on gaijin talent to help with their expansion left them vulnerable. Now they're scrambling for a new gaijin star.
NJPW sank their own ship by disrespecting the bucks and kenny. All because they didn't come from their dojo.

G. Western Expansion
Austin Adams
they needed to give kenny everything he asked for, he was the entire reason for their boom, but they were too cocky to admit it

>kenny leaves >suddenly they can't draw flies to shit seething?
Lincoln Roberts
This. Also the bucks didn't like that they always had to open the show at Wrestle Kingdom.
William Sanchez
They had a poor Cow Palace outing as well with Kenny on top. Or are you gonna blame Cody for that?
Charles Myers
Nah. They're drawing fine in Japan. Booking bad cities and not announcing the card in advance is hurting their western expansion.
Charles Cook
/thread Their downfall started when they decided they want to expand to the west. Actually if they move all the money and resources they're burning in America and moved them to someplace like the UK or Australia they might lessen their losses and could even gain revenue.
Austin Baker
Their biggest show last year had Kenny, Ibushi and the Cucks, they couldn't fill the bingo hall they were renting. The American expansion is a meme, they can'y be have a big success in the US.
Gavin Brooks
Personally, I haven't watched NJPW since WK13 because:
>Kenny gone. Out of the big 4 I cared the least for him, but now he's gone I admit that I actually appreciate him >Jay white is good, but he is so fucking green... >Okada isn't 2016/7 Okada >Tana is broken down >Naito has no big feud or angle >I think Ishimorii is overrated af, and we're missing Kushida and Hiromu >Really don't buy Ospreay as a heavyweight I want them to give me a reason to be invested and care.
Juan Edwards
Where else on the card should they be? They have popcorm matches full of flips and high spots.
Jaxon Walker
Japan is all that matter and they are doing great.
Unironically this all leads back to Cody. He's still seething that he'll never be a world champion in wwe.
Landon Butler
NJPW is doing fine, it's just the international expansion that is struggling, which is a good thing.
Adrian Jones
Didn't they draw fine in NZ, AUS and the UK? I think only the US is a failure experience.
Adrian Russell
Jericho is the Ocelot of WWE, he's going through companies around the world making them think they're hot shit just to leave them when they're about to make the big step. After All Estrogen fails miserably he will come back home with Kenny on his leash. Y2GOAT

The uk show . Tickets went up at pretty much the same time and is about the same size has almost sold out. People are just memeing over this ONE show. This they have nothing to attack njpw with
Maybe New Japan can use CMLL Luchadores now instead of relaying in American talent (people with no loyalty or dignity)
Zachary Barnes
That was more of NJPW’s fault. They never promoted the show at all here in San Francisco and just hoped they were gonna sell out.
Parker Jackson
>Also the bucks didn't like that they always had to open the show at Wrestle Kingdom.
Maybe they should draw a dime in the big leagues, then. Imagine caring about a pair of goobers that has only ever managed to draw the interest of tubby E-Drones and reject American indie fans. Nobody in Japan cares about them. Curtain-jerking is where they belong in the big time.
Jeremiah Stewart
Elite fan's watched the youtube clips.
Ryder Nguyen
Youtube clips is all Elite fans CAN watch because they mark for a t shirt company
Christian Diaz
>New Japan has been crippled. source?
Cooper Campbell
>Also the bucks didn't like that they always had to open the show at Wrestle Kingdom. Marks. Ospreay and Ibushi wouldn't care to open every wrestle kingdom and they're at least 20x times better wrestlers in every single sense than the Young Bucks.
Ryan Lewis
Hope for Taguchi being 69th IWGP HeabyQ champ?
Easton Rogers
>Kenny gone. Out of the big 4 I cared the least for him, but now he's gone I admit that I actually appreciate him Fair enough >Jay white is good, but he is so fucking green... I disagree, just because he's not top 5 world material doesn't mean he's green. He's a pretty damn good worker and keeps getting better and he's good at improvising heel antics on the fly >Okada isn't 2016/7 Okada Okada is the same Okada as always. He has great matches with anyone and right now he's probably more over than Tana and Naito >Tana is broken down He's been broken down for 2+ years, doesn't stop him for being excellent >Naito has no big feud or angle For now, you're right >I think Ishimorii is overrated af, and we're missing Kushida and Hiromu Ishimorri is pretty good but I think Hiromu is the best jr in the world. He's much more than just a great worker too. >Really don't buy Ospreay as a heavyweight Your loss, the guy has reached Okada's levels where anyone he faces looks fucking great. He's no longer the Osprey of 2 years ago, he's easily a top 5 wrestler on the planet
Benjamin Howard
This. Osprey and oakda are the most over guys in njpw atm
David James
The answer is putting the focus on, pushing and putting the title on fucking Cringeblade lmao Way to kill your promotion Absolute blunder
Owen Foster
new NJPW fans who don't have patience for/don't trust in NJPW are funny
David Butler
>>Okada isn't 2016/7 Okada
Probably because he's not getting to have 30 minute matches every other month for the title with all the emphasis and marketing lumped on it.
John Myers
The Bucks have a giant chip on their shoulder about this perception that tag teams are just a stepping stone to an inevitable singles push. While their claims aren't without merit it's probably rubbed a few people the wrong way.
Sebastian Turner
>Remove the Bucks These guys were never fucking over. The fact that Kenny's name gets lumbered with em everytime is a fact theyre not.
Xavier Wilson
>The Bucks have a giant chip on their shoulder about this perception that tag teams are just a stepping stone to an inevitable singles push.
This is literally true and the parallel between them and the Golden Lovers prove it. >GL >tag team that elevates both guys to where the real dimes are drawn: singles competition >Young Cucks >can't make it as singles wrestler >never drawn in the big leaguse >are literally the hanger-ons to a singles guy Tag teams will always be a side-show attraction. The biggest a tag team will ever get is when you get two top guys forming one.
Jaxson Rivera
He's cool, but nah. Taguchi can't hang in the JR division these days.
>Jay He is very green. I don't disagree with you as such, I don't deny he's not good, and I know he'll be something one day. But my god, he's so young and he just isn't anywhere near the standard of a top guy in NJPW. He has years of both exp and maturity before he's anywhere near. >Okada Okada is always great. But he just isn't the same, not yet. The lack of people on his level he's yet to wrestle is a shame >Tana I love the guy, but as you say he's been deteriorating for years and it's getting more and more apparent. >Naito Unfortunately so. Him and Taichi was solid but again they're lacking people for him to work with especially after Jericho. >Ishimori I just don't get him. He's not bad but he's not outstanding like Hiromu. i enjoy Kushida and him not being there (even if he wasn't a huge draw) hurts a lot. >Ospreay All due respect. Hell noooooooo. He's absolutely nowhere near Okada's level, not even Tana, Naito, Ibushi, Ishii, Hiromu, El Desperado and even Suzuki. I agree he's improved and is beginning to get past the overselling but as a top heavyweight? Nah... The only matches I've actually been into are where he hurts himself and it's only because I'm wanting to see if he's alright. Like the spanish fly he did on the apron last year and cut himself open was fucking stupid. Plus I understand it was a freak accident, but him injuring Kota like that at WK was dumb as fuck.
