Look at this logically. Dave’s entire career rests on the shoulders of WWE. If they went out of business, he most likely would also. If Dave did have a bias, it would be in favour of WWE, not against them. The more successful they are, the more successful he potentially is.
WWE can't truly 'fail' and he knows that he can continue biting the hand that feeds him without fear. It's much like the way minorities spew vitriol toward whites despite living in white countries and benefiting from white civilization.

He's 100 percent biased against them and if you don't think so you're a retard. He's actual friends with wrestlers in other promotions, he very clearly has a conflict of interest when it comes to being impartial. The workers in WWE shit on him pretty often so it makes sense he wouldn't pull punches on them.
i have never gotten the vibe from dave that he wants WWE to fail. if anything, he just wants them to put on better shows.

Pretty much this. WWE's product isn't intriguing to him but he will report on their business and how they are set for years without seething. If anything he hinted that WWE going out of business would doom him, like when WCW shut down. He thought he had a few years left with WON before going back to sports writing.
He doesn't want them to fail, he knows that keeping all those wrestlers employed and having a solid presence on US cable TV is beneficial for pro wrestling. He will critique the product as he has his own standards of what makes good wrestling, and he gives praise just as often.

This is a weird one, because Dave didn't even break the AEW story it was another website entirely. He waited over a month before giving the story credence, partly as he was told stuff off the record and also the TV deals we're looking a lot more solid. He didn't get any scoops on Double or Nothing, or on any of the signees. Dave does like the main four on a personal level and Tony Khan had been a subscriber for years, but they sure haven't fed him enough Intel by the looks of it.
Correct Meltzer is a self admitted WWE fan who covers WWE programming far more than any other promotion and regularly gives their generic main events **** despite most of them being by the numbers kick out spam
