There is an audience for a buff woman in WWE, and variety is necessary for an entertaining production. The women should not all look alike.
However, Lacey Evans as a character right now is not something that will draw.
Lacey is a great example of "coming up with a character" for someone rather than trying to come up with a character that will draw, which are two very different things. "Single mom veteran turned wrestler turned egotistical heel with a 40s theme" is not a captivating story. In the cramped world of WWE booking where maybe five or six women can be telling their stories at any given time this is not a gimmick that any time should be spent on.
If Lacey becomes a monster of the month for one of the other women she will have served some purpose, but she should not become a fixture of the division with this character.
