everything before was building to it, everything after has been slowly getting worse until today when it is actually bas

this desu. i had gotten into wrestling about 6-8 months before and everything built to it. the two prior PPVs (no way out and the rumble) would be 2nd and 3rd on my list.

Absolutely this.

Tbh if it wasn't for the main event and TLC 2, no one would give a shit about this ppv.

You're forgetting the other 2-4 good matches
There's not one weak match on the show

>Birth of the streak
>The send off of the hardcore division
>12 months worth of McMahon soap opera payoff
>Angle Benoit

>Jericho vs Regal IC
>Kane vs Raven vs Big Show Hardcore
>Eddie vs Test European
>Benoit vs Angle
The whole show was awesome, it really was the pinnacle because it was planned before they knew WCW was dead, they had just bought WCW the Monday before and so this show was the send-off marking the end of an era and they went all out, the pyro, the entrances, the crowd was pumped and the wrestlers knew that things were about to change and the roster would be doubling shortly so they were going all out. So many factors went into making it what it was, it was really the perfect storm that will never be recreated or matched.

How were No Way Out or Backlash that year? Never saw them.

6/10
10/10
never seen
9/10
9.5/10

I haven't watch the Backlash main event in years and years and plan to rewatch it maybe soon. As a lil jimmy i thought it was kinda long but the Carder illegal tag because Earl was fucking blind sequence was fucking kino and that's all I remembered about that match

No Way Out was incredible. Must watch.

>best atmosphere
>Heyman and JR
>Bobby Heenan calling the gimmick battle royal
>incredible Vince vs Shane match
>show never drags for a second
>one of the best hardcore matches ever

Gaytch winning makes no sense and made me seethe

It made perfect sense. They were setting up the re-match. They already had Austin as a top guy, and Rock was leaving to do a movie after WM, so they needed a strong opponent for Austin.

Toss up between this and WCW Uncensored with the King of the Road match.

>had the GOAT WM main event
>had the GOAT Austin/Rock match
>had the GOAT TLC match
>had the GOAT hardcore championship match
>had the GOAT women squash match
>had the GOAT referee sell job for a match
>had the GOAT father vs son match
>had the GOAT promo package for any match
>had the GOAT Bobby Heenan on commentary one last time

now sit down and lurk more

>needed a strong opponent for Austin
>teams up with him instead of getting his win back as 1st defense

Gaytch needs to die

8.5/10

Why does Curt Angle look like Shane McMahon here?

These threads need a "besides WM X-7" clause. WM X7 is more GOAT than a Muslim orgy.

Here's a followup question then: how far back into 2000 does this streak of GOAT PPVs go?

it goes all the way back, every ppv was getting better and better leading up to wm x-7 and every ppv after has been getting worse and worse, it is the peak of the mountain. there is no other mountain we got to sea level around 2016 and now we are diving underwater

everyone knows this is the GOAT already
choose something else nigga

comfy
