Impact Wrestling announced that Madison Rayne has signed a multi-year deal to return to the company, just a week after she received a requested release from Ring of Honor.
As PWInsider.com first reported yesterday, Rayne requested a release over issues with her planned creative in the company. PWInsider.com is told that Rayne had pitched a number of ideas for herself, including a Beautiful People reunion for the promotion, bringing in Angelina Love (who worked in ROH during the early stages of her career) and Velvet Sky. When the creative pitches ended up shot down, Rayne requested a release.
ROH then offered an alternative idea, where the People would return but Rayne would be attacked and feud with the group, which would instead add at least one new member in Mandy Leon and perhaps others. Rayne turned down the creative and again asked for a release. The release was amicably granted.
Velvet still looks fine as fuck. Angelina Love looks like a walking skelly tho.
