Is she still a joke in the UFC world?
what was she thinking getting into WWE? wouldn't going from UFC to WWE feel humiliating?

Yeah especialmente because she went out a crying simp and retired
why was she pushed so hard in UFC during that period anyways? didn't she pretty much get btfo easily multiple times in a row?
which real UFC qts would you Bros like to see make their way to WWE?
Dana likes her, she was crushing cans ridiculously quickly and she's pretty for a fighter. She only lost twice but the way they handled her after losing to Holm was pathetic and then she got completely exposed by Amanda (which isn't as embarrassing as it seemed in hindsight considering what Amanda just did to Cyborg)
Kookers.
and she got that "pop" culture fame, so she was good for the whole UFC
Yeah, they managed to turn her into the Serena Williams of MMA despite operating in a tiny talent pool. She was just perfectly timed for the strong gurl movement that was going on.
she got in early while the talent pool was small and beat the shit out of a lot of subpar girls really quickly
eventually people realized she can't strike at all and holm and nunes exploited that
if rousey had stuck around she would probably still be a top 5 fighter and maybe could have done better in a second shot vs holm but after the nunes beatdown all of her momentum was gone
in hindsight it doesn't look as bad though since nunes just fucked up cyborg even faster than she beat ronda
>eventually people realized she can't strike at all
This goes pretty much for every UFC fighter, Conor is supposed to be an amateur boxer and he is considered one of the best strikers but holy fucking shit his punches look like garbage compared to actual boxers
This. Nunes got hands bro. Ronda stood absolutely no chance.
is striking really that much superior to grappling?
It's actually generally inferior (see Cormier vs. Lewis or McGregor vs. Kabib for recent matches).
But in Ronda's last two fights her trainer actually had her convinced she could fight upright, despite her being a submission specialist. It went poorly. She would have almost certainly lost to Nunes regardless, but a better strategy would have gone a long way.
this, Ronda had some TKO/KO's in her matches at the end, so her coach assured that she could fight standing. Kinda retarded to do something you're not superior in, against other strikers.
See for yourself
as pure as those strikes were, Brets selling there was top notch and adds to how well takers punches looked
mma striking ≠ boxing
>going for strikes when you are an Olympic-tier judoka
200-iq strategy
She let the media tell her how to fight. A general rule of thumb is to never listen to the media... about anything.
Also ronda wasnt the only one with terrible strikes, no woman could throw proper punches during her undefeated run. In her early matches she took easy hits to the face but it didnt matter since her opponents couldnt punch, she could face tank them and grab them for the win. Obviously that didnt work when women with solid striking game came around and she got btfo
>she could face tank them
that explains her face then
Reminder that Ronda could have beat Holms easily if she did her own game and didn't go full retard with the striking.
In the other hand, Amanda would have crushed her even if she tried to be defensive and focused more in the grappling. Only Valentina is somewhat better than Amanda.
