NJPW is always in the shitter quality wise until the NJC and Sakura Genesis. But it's going to be a tough few months even if they do a good job of building Jay really well, they've been in this position before though

Not everyone watched for work rate, I just wanted to see something that takes itself semi-seriously and doesn't have shaking camera bullshit. They did that when JR was there, the moment Kenny Omega stepped in I stopped watching, I could smell the gay before it even started.

We just had really fun junior title match from a guy who is just comedy geek most of the time.
We had passing of the torch and we retirement match and moving on match.
And Honor Rising tour was fun as well. And with coming up NJC and Anniversary, oh my god, we are gearing up.

He has his own taste and preferences just like anyone else does, his rating isn't always on track with consensus. He gave Omega-White last year 3.75 and it rated considerably higher with cagematch's user base.

They jobbed out the entire roster to make Kenny and Okada look good. Add to the fact that they shoved a bang average dude at the top of the company and you realize that 2019 NJPW is a very different from 2016 NJPW despite the roster being 80% the same.

Reluctantly this. At least when they pushed Naito and Kenny that year they were pretty over to begin with. I think Jay will definitely work out in the long run, but he's green as grass and has years to get to the standard others have set before him.

Wrestling is supposed to be fun. And I have fun watching NJPW. What else is there to have? I am invested in stories they are telling and I like their house style of physical performance. Also I find quite a few of their wrestlers hot. It is a win-win for me.
