WWE has set up their business in such a way that no one is supposed to get over. The McMahons don't want any one to become a draw. They want the WWE brand to be the only draw. All the prowrestlers are completely interchangeable and don't matter to the company. They're a dime a dosen. TV ratings no longer matter. Live attendances don't matter. WWE machine only needs good PR, rich dumb investor money, and gullible money marks to keep it a float. We the fans are no longer necessary.

Keeping up with wrestling news, anticipating debuts and firings, reading rumors etc. is a waste of time and investment that keeps tricking you into thinking a bad product is good, has potential, or can make a wrestler rest on their laurels because they are popular with smarks. Just old fashioned tuning in when it's good, tuning out when it's bad is so much simpler, more honest, and more satisfying in the long run.

Wrestling is for kids. For decades it pretended to be a legitimate sport blatantly, and in the popular mentality was something that brings you closer to maturity when you discover that it is false, just like Santa Claus or social equality. Vince tried to change that, because he does not want wrestling to be considered a sport but a show, like cinema or theater, and that's why he invented that "sports entertainment" thing, but it never worked. It's for this reason that the kayfabe has been dead in social media since years ago.

Wrestling will never be popular again until people see it no more as a fake sport, but what it really is: a theatrical genre
