>supposedly had a smark audience
>the wrestling was shit
What did they mean by this
Supposedly had a smark audience
they just wanted to see blood
i don't think ECW had a smarky crowd... the thing is that after its death wrestling crowds (smark crowds) have been trying to emulate the ECW crowd
>the wrestling
when will ya marks learn that successful pro wrestling isn't about ding-dong diddly good wrestling matches
They knew it was fake so they just wanted to see dudes hurting each other for reals
its a vibe senpai
deadass? shii lit fr lmao!
real sick fuckers, they knew the wrestlers were cooperating and they wanted them to actually hurt each other badly, the wanted the wrestlers to bleed, break bones and damage each other
didnt foley say that in a promo?
>the wrestling was shit
No fuck off.
>believing wwe propaganda
ECW first introduced Lucha Libre, Japanese style and about 20 famous technical wrestlers to the US audience. They had Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit wrestle classics while WWF consisted of Doink The Clown, midgets and Diesel.
They only got those luchadors, japs, and VMs because of Eric Bischoff. So say "thank you, Mr B.".
yeah and corny said it too
>the wrestling was shit
there were some garbage hardcore matches but to say ALL the wrestling was shit is crass.
bruv, ECW was notoriously the first ever smark crowd. They were tape traders, Observer subscribers and coined so many memorable chants like "You fucked up!"
The wrestling wasn't shit though.
>RVD/Jerry Lynn
The absolute worst matches in ECW history.
If you think the shit on manletlive every week looks choreographed, just wait until you see these to execute 5 minute long sequences of interpretive dance
*death metal voice*
FUCK YOOOOOUUUUU
Smart mark =/= workrate mark.
Bzump
You know wrestling is fake, right?
The wrestling was amazing for a brief period before wcw took all the good wrestlers.
You have to go back.
wrong. the wcw had jap wrestlers wrestling jap style before the ecw
Fuck you faggot
Not even worked
member Chilly Willy, Da Baldies, Simon Diamond and the musketeer and the woman that could move her tits?
Chilly Willy was a jab to Vince's obsession with big roidy muscular men, right?
Fuck you Eric, you arrogant bastard!
Oh wait he was merely working me. What a genius.
1.) Smarks in the 90s were nothing like the smarks today.
2.) You almost had to be a smark to be into ECW up until the last few years because there was no mainstream promotion and the only way to keep up was through dirtsheets, word of mouth, and tape trade.
3.) Heyman went out of his way to do as many worked shoots as possible to kill kayfabe. If you followed ECW, you would learn a ton of insider shit just by the promos.
The wrestling wasn't all that bad
So are movies. If I see people reading from a script in the middle of a scene, that's a bad movie.
You seem rather stupid.
Upper card was shit wrestling. Lower card was full of great workers who came and went. Heyman was willing to bring in foreigners to work a few shows and light up the crowd.
>in the middle of a scene,
...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKIN' SCEEENE! WHAT DON'T YOU GET ABOUT IT?
>workrate mark can't comprehend characters and storylines being over
Shocking
lmao that's anyone who ever wanted to make money in the business, not Vince. all the smarks popped huge when Sid showed up
