I'm a Formula One fan. If a driver gets injured and the FIA decides to give an update on their condition, the show I watch doesn't do any of the following;
1. Interview the driver.
2. Advertise it ahead of time in order to draw a rating.
3. Plaster it all over their social media channels so fans can speculate what the driver's condition is.
