Saw fighting with my family

I enjoyed it. Its kind of sad that the realest looking movie right now is about wrestling. If you want to know anything about the movie ask me your questions.
Weird movie fact.
Long haired simon and his mom are in the movie near the end

Also theres a weird sex tape joke in the movie.

>Long haired simon and his mom are in the movie near the end
Confirmed for WWE plant

You sound like you fuck black guys.

Funny I dont sound like yer mum

How did the scandal leak affect this? What was the Rock's response?

how is it sad that a move about wrestling is real? Nothing wrong with wrestling, you guys just gotta start looking at it as an art and lifestyle vs just entertainment. People work really hard their whole lives to make it, like any other job. I wonder why Paige got a movie about her life though, it's pretty interesting.

From what I remember they pushed the movie back a year or two I couldnt tell you what the rocks response to it is. However I can without memes tell you that one of the characters nicknames is Sex Tape and the rock calls him that. So take that for what you will

Buuuu, let me know when Sonny Smasher and Paige's real father, Jimmy Ocean, show up.

is rock his usual tryhard self like his other movies or is he actually cool in this

I can confirm that mr. Ocean is not in the movie unless he is on the posters in the far right on the poster shots in WAWs gym. I unironically was searching for Jimmy Ocean when the movie was in the UK

Of all the things they could have made a wrestling movie about they pick this bong slags story

He is in the movie for a whopping 5 to 7 mins in situations he definitely never was apart of.
>they meet the rock at tryout day in england
>the rock calls for paige to meet him in a vip lounge like area after he cuts the wm30 promo with hogan and austin. They call paiges family. He informs her/them that shes called up to the main roster and winning the title on raw the next night.(Most time that he is in the movie although his first appearance)
>he fist bumps vince vaughn when paige wins.
Mostly what youve seen in trailers and sneak peaks youve seen. He was tolerable.
Paige doesnt win the nxt title in the movie its not mentioned at all.

I think you misunderstood what op was saying.

oh, I thought he was being sarcastic or something. It's hard to tell sometimes with text though, what did he mean?

How I took it, he thinks it's sad that the only "good/actual/real" movie out right now is about wrestling, not that there is really a movie about wrestling.

How much is Dwayne The Rock in the movie?

To clarify I am OP.
My: "Its kind of sad that the realest looking movie right now is about wrestling".
Watch Fighting with My Family than watch Black Panther. Tell me which looks like its real. I dont even know if theres any cgi in the movie all of its shot on location. I fucking hate how hollywood shoots every movie in front of a greenscreen. All of this movie is shot on location. The fact that simons ugly mug is in this movie because it was shot after a monday night raw in front of a real crowd is fucking cool. A movie about fake fighting is the realest looking movie Ive seen in some time. Everything looks so fake lately it was refreshing to see something real for once. I say give it a shot. Its worth at least a netflix or an amazon. You should see it in theaters, also there was probably around ten mins of wrestling in the movie.

See

oh. I see.

I mean i get your point, but why even say "fake fighting" I mean, yeah we get it it's not real combat. But sometimes when people push that kind of stuff it just comes off like you're a party pooper.

And i'm not trying to start some silly circle debate or arguement I'm just putting my two cents. I enjoy watching wrestling, I know the quality has gone down a lot and it's kind of hoaky nowadays but it's something I like to just relax after work and drink a beer to. I think it's a pretty unique form of theater.

>I mean i get your point, but why even say "fake fighting" I mean, yeah we get it it's not real combat. But sometimes when people push that kind of stuff it just comes off like you're a party pooper.

BRO! BRO THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY. THAT JUST AIN'T NORMAL. BUT THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, BRO!

>he fist bumps vince vaughn when paige wins.
I imagine this is the best part of the film

The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke

i'm just saying it's kind of redundant to say that kind of stuff, it's just trolly. It's like going on Yea Forums or Yea Forums and bitching about people wasting their lives watching the televison or playing games.

Yeah there's probably better more rewarding hobbies, but most people on those boards arent living their lives vicariously through that medium, they are just people who enjoy something.
I'm sure you enjoy stuff that people would think is silly too , you don't have to be all extra and snarky towards me.

Why you gotta be a fag? I am a wrestling fan, I post here, and I went to see the movie opening night in America. You, myself, and just about everyone in here knows the ins and outs of professional wrestling. I am explaining that in a way a person who never watched wrestling and writes it off as fake would say that sentence. Stop being an autist.
Also
>There is a good amount of curtain pulling back towards how wrestling works and some obvious its just fake fighting arguments
Watch the movie.

my bad man wasn't trying to argue or anything.

I was quoting an example of what you were talking about, Vince Russo, who repeatedly shouts "it's FAKE!" on his podcasts and says guys like Meltzer have convinced themselves it's real.

Interestingly, Hogan also hates/hated that kind of stuff but even calling it fake, according to Finding Hulk Hogan. And he happens to hate Russo. I don't know if anyone else has noticed.

I can think of several others who have screamed "it's fake! It's not real!" at the top of their lungs, causing me to cringe. So of course I know what you're saying.

No I would say the best part of the movie would be the entire family dinner scene from start to finish. It starts off awkward, then it gets tense, and it just ends well it sets things in motion.
Also
>It potrays the knight parents as carnie as they are

I heard AJ Lee is completely ignored/removed. Is that true?

See there you go being a fag again.

Hopefully so. Paige is Gypsy, she has Indian genes so that boy's not needed to fill the diversity quota.

Zelina goblina plays her. She appears.....
>briefly when the knights are in the uk on the tv
>briefly paige and the three randies they give time to walk past her at wm30
>all of the raw after mania involving aj lee is there with the exception of any mention of paige being nxt champion.
>she does ajs promo pre match honestly kind of sounded like aj
>Movies climax is the aj paige match paiges raw debut.
>Screen time totaling under 6 mins.
Two wrestlers from the current roster cameo as themselves

> sad that the realest looking movie right now
you don't watch many movies, do you?

How many movies am I supposed to watch?

You're a fucking e-drone, kek.

These indie films drop quickly to torrent sites. You shoulda just waited. But then again, I bet you're content with giving wwe $$$ every month for their network, buy their merch, etc. so you were just being a good little dronie.

Jesus I mean wow. Lets break it down.
>I spent 10 dollars on a movie I enjoyed
>Made by a company that I actually do enjoy
>A company that has flaws but has provided many good memories and entertaining matches and promos during my lifetime.
>Meanwhile AEW only can manage to sell tshirts and a couple of shows.
Rather be an "Edrone" than a mark who gets worked by some faggots trying to sell as many tshirts as possible.

why do you care so much what he does with his money? People that act like you usually DON'T have any money so you resent people who can actually spend it on things they like.

stay seething

Based user standing up for WWE.

Is /my guy/ nick frost in it a lot?

Attached: fighting-with-my-family-movie.jpg (200x257, 20K)

Hes mainly in the first third but the family appears sporadically. Hes good though.

based af

when will it come out on blue ray?

probably about ~3 months

you guys remember NACHO LIBRE? That was some good shit

No clue cant be more than 5 months after it leaves theaters.
Never seen it is it kino?

Not kino, not dogshit, maybe amusing. 90 minutes if I remember correctly, not a painful watch.

So in my 29 years of existence I have avoided it since it was in theaters should i watch it shit faced drunk and stoned?

yeah, that's the only way to watch most movies

one of the two will suffice

Bump

Good to know

The Miz and...?
Also does Vince make any appearances, do the wrestling scenes look good, do you think WWE is portrayed in an overly good light (like it’s literally the only company in the world etc.)
Thanks for the Q/A I might actually watch this but I’m on the fence

Not the miz both were taller than the miz. I can tell you who they were but its a nice little surprise towards the end of the movie

After the extended trailers and sneak peeks 3 times per show 2 times a week and at least 20 minutes per PPV for the past 3 months, I feel like I have already seen the movie multiple times and this last week I started to hate it.

>El goblina plays AJ Lee

Still can't stop laughing at this

In the trailer there are girls bullying paige, are those suppose to be real people (one kinda looks like charlotte)

Theres a lot that you dont see in the trailer. I do think it warrants a watch if you are a fan because its a wwe movie that tells and shows you how fake wrestling is. I have to watch wrestlemania 30 again to see if anything was wrong.
However this promo is briefly in the movie.

Attached: screen-shot-2014-04-06-at-6-34-01-pm.png (636x350, 414K)

No clue. They only show in nxt as a training ground theres two scenes where they preform in front of a crowd via promos, and then they have a match in front of the audience to show the improvements all have made. The 3 girls have decent amount of screen time.
Charlotte flair is in the movie though.....playing naomis spot in wrestlmania 30 divas title match. You dont see charlottes face but its shown oj the monitor el goblina tapping out via black widow a blonde women with the ble top and bottoms charlotte has and that shit written down her ribcage.

maybe i'll pirate it but probably not, i haven't seen a good movie made in a long fucking time, and seriously doubt this would be the one to break the streak

big show, sheamus and john cena appear in the film as themselves

Cena is actually not in the movie. I dont count archived footage. If we count archived theres a lot of wrestlers then
Also
>Movie starts with archive footage of rock beating HHH

Thing is gonna bomb hard. Projections have it making barely 5m this weekend. Might not even crack Top 5.
Absolutely terrible for an opening weekend

Apparently they are made up characters for the movie but they use the ring gears of Blue Bliss, Eve Torres and Summer Rae.

Did paige ever go blonde and get a tan?
Because I find the girl in the movie attractive but theres like 20 mins of blonde tan paige in the movie.

Ewwfag BTFO

Was there any literal name casts for the characters, so did they say this is bliss, rae etc Or do you literally have too play the guessing game from attire,

Also is Xavier lurking behind the corner ala Titus,

There are three or four girls in the movir who appear with paige one of the four taps out early. The three girls names are Kirstie, Maddison, and Jeri-Lynn. Also Vince Vaughn is a bill demott proxy

>Also Vince Vaughn is a bill demott proxy

Does he bully people and call them faggots in the movie?

Why isn't this shitty movie a Jimmy Ocean biopic. It'd be dimes.

In a way yeah.

idk if you think this is a blockbuster or what lol but if it turns 7-8m which is where most of the projections are thats absolutely fine. rock isnt taking any L regardless because they sold it for to MGM for like 20 million awhile ago

Bliss was in the movie?

Attached: DvU8X-NWkAAocPi.jpg (960x407, 49K)

What are some ideas that would make a better story than this for a movie?

>Screwjob: The Montreal Story
>ECW (miniseries dramaticizing the rise and fall of ECW)
>Ryder Revolution (from make a wish kid to a WrestleMania moment)
>I Had a Nice Day (Mick Foley biopoc)
>Hulkamania (the story of Hulkamania, contrasted to the sad real life of Terry)
>Survivor (a story following Kevin Nash in the years follow a fateful encounter in the Summer of 92)

Maybe her ring gear but not a character. Thats either maddison kirsten or keri-lynn

Bump

How much did Haitch demand they change it?

Screwjob already exists as that Bret Hart doco that just happened to capture the whole thing and everything backstage.

Who played Emma and how does her feet compare to the real Emma?

Paige hangs out with three blonde girls. I think one of them was supposed to be Emma.

Are you referring to when The Rock referred to Vince Vaughn's character as "Sex Tape?"

Are you referring to the girls who may have been Charlotte, Alexa Bliss, and Eve Torres?

Maybe I am confused since they were all wearing some of their earliest attires. I recognize the blue Bliss one.

Emma wasn't in the movie. AJ Lee was played by Zelina Vega.

I don't think AJ Lee was still with the company at WrestleMania XXX. I don't think Paige debut the night after WrestleMania XXX. The obvious answer is that the sets and event names were wrong but that is likely due to budget constraints so they just filmed those segments at their live events.

I love that Dwayne is on the poster and he's actually only in two scenes throughout the entire movie.
Every part of the movie that had nothing to do with WWE was somehow extreme kino, i was pleasantly surprised. Every part that had to do with WWE, however, felt like I was watching a recruitment video for the US Army.
Also Sonny Smasher is in the movie as himself but all of the other WAW wrestlers are actors portraying them, so that was really weird

...

...

Hulk told some more movie-like moments of his rise pretty well on Jericho's podcast. Hopefully the makers of the new movie listen to it. Jericho says within the episode that it was a good one.

Yes.

All the family and uk shit is really good. Theres some good training moments. Like that convo vince vaughn has about journeymen

Do you think All Elite Wrestling is going to offer Zak Zodiac a contract?

Anybody know anything abour the blind wrestler

Bump

who the fuck is long haired simon

Attached: B-lVECYUEAERsZS.jpg (274x274, 20K)

does steve merchant appear in the movie?

Yes he plays zack gfs awkward father.

Missed opportunity to have Darren Lamb play Paige's agent

Is that who they were supposed to be? The blue one didn't look anything like Bliss. The one with the kid was Charlotte? Eve Torres was on the way out of the roster when Paige was in NXT. But I guess, fuck it.
