To be honest i don't care anymore for the first time in 20 years of playing RE games. Always wanted to see what was next but REmake 2 was such a perfect circle back to what made the games so great that RE8 just felt like they were making it up as they went along and that they have no fucking clue where to take it next. Rather than worry about them fucking it up i am for some reason just really uninterested now because they already did all they need to do.

I have seen others suggest that the RE8 time skip ending is just that, an ending. When RE9 really drops it will still be present day and when asked about Rose Capcom will just say "maybe one day (raughs) bur for now that ending was just a way to conclude the Winters story. It has not actually happened just yet, we may return to it but im not sure."

The only character from your list that can sell games is Chris, and it was for that very reason that he was put on the cover of 8.
At this point Alcina might be getting there in terms of popularity because she's the only hot female character released in AAA recently, but she doesn't has long term appeal.
Anyone who thinks the "Ethanverse" will last long is retarded. It will have one more game at best then the first person, pseudo RE vibe idea will die and Capcom will once again do something else.
