Hard to say. It's very unfinished, so my default, no. But there are some good and crazy tech for 2001but with soirce code and some TLC, modders could make it into something pretty solid.

There's probably more but that's all I have encountered.
It's a beta of a game that was never released, so of course it's not gonna be a good game. That said, pretty much all of the weapons besides the chainsaw and freeze gun work exactly as you expect them to, there's a good few levels that are playable with enemies and secrets, and it's an interesting insight to a DNF we're never gonna get.
Also the complete source code is nice too.

Maybe. I'm not an expert at this stuff. The game is built off of Unreal 1, but based off of how DNF looks, it has been edited and tweaked so much it might be a Quake to GoldSrc kind of situation.

Around 60% of the game has level transitions and each level has gameplay or enemies or puzzles or other shit to do.

this iteration of the game was developed until around 2003 when george broussard got asspained that doom 3 had more detailed graphics and decided they had to overhaul the game again for it to look modern.

3D Realms were clearly mismanaged to hell. If they released the 2001 build but completed in 2003 it wouldn't have gotten a very good reception. The industry moved fast back then and it was no place for Everquest playing slackers.
