She's existed for less than half the time that Daisy has and has featured, in some way, in every mainline game that came out after her debut, and has featured in (I think) every single spinoff that's appeared after her debut too, often with unique animations specific to her. She's already eclipsed everything Daisy ever had and more. It's not even a comparison, and I say this as someone who really has no strong feelings about Daisy OR Rosalina. It's plainly obvious that someone really likes her at Nintendo.

Rosalina's debut was in a major 3D Mario game where she actually had a presence and wasn't just a damsel in distress. Daisy's debut was in a less mainstream handheld title where she only served as a damsel in distress and might as well have been Peach.
Daisy was never given that much emphasis even from her inception. Rosalina had nothing to do with it.

well im glad it's getting censored because the game looks somewhat fun but i hate how sexual stuff is such a big part of it. i mean look, i have xx chromosomes and enjoy good looking girls in games but have some taste. ive literally had to walk on eggshells sometimes, making sure games dont have overly sexualized characters because i genuinely get uncomfortable when theyre in one im playing, just feels like im not the target audience and seen as a lesser person. so when it happens to a character i really like it makes me mad

I think one of the reasons the "Nintendo's Lightning" meme held on for so long is because of the similarity to Toriyama's obsession.
