Why did WarioWare get it together flop so hard? Is it because of bad marketing? It got no attention at all in smash. Is the series dying because Sakurai hates Ashley and decided to snub her?

what were the sales

1.27 million

That's not good? Isnt it the best selling warioware?

It sold about as well as Astral Chain, and Nintendo considered that to be a success. Given that WarioWare is usually made on the cheap I don't see a reason to be concerned.

She deserves her own game

WW Touched and smooth moves are both around 2.5 lifetime sales.

But Astral Chain is a new ip made in collaboration with another studio, WW is an established franchise from a main Nintendo character. It might be getting them money but it's pitiful compared to how other Nintendo franchises are doing and it shows they aren't reaching the games audience.

She does but she won't get it due to Sakurai sabotaging her.

what the fuck did you expect op? did you expect it to sell as much as mario or botw? it's a smaller game with a smaller budget and a niche appeal, why would you want it to be mainstream?

but it sold a million of copies, what the fuck?

>Ashley OP
Incoming bot posters

I expected it to at least be close to Touched and Smooth Moves. The budget might be low but that doesn't excuse the low sales. That just means that Nintendo did a piss poor job promoting the game. Pretty much all game series are having their most successful entry on the switch, no excuse for WW to do worse compared to itself..

don't think many people have interest in this type of game to begin with, everyone that was going to buy heard about it and bought it

Ain't nobody want that Wario Ware stick-it-in-yo-own-ass game.

That's actually way less a drop than I expected. WareWare is well out of its prime, so selling even half of those games is actually really good. It will also certainly pick up some more from evergreen sales due to Wario being in the title, so closer to at least 1.5 million by the end of the Switch would make sense.

Since it's selling less than previous games, I don't think so.
>WareWare is well out of its prime
What makes you say that?

I love Ashley

You people only like Ashley because you want to see her naked

>tfw we will never see Ashley again

Attached: 1651261426756.png (850x468, 386.16K)

I'm kinda sleepy and read the 2 messages in a row. And in my head I just read:
>tfw we will never see Ashley naked again
Had to do a double take because I was really confused about when we saw her naked in the games lmao

Does she like Wario?

No, Mona does. :^)

>Big Brain Academy sold more than WarioWare
How?

What??? What does Mona like about Wario?

Brand recognition from casuals. This is not a new phenomenon.

There's no guarantee that Sakurai is even making the next Smash game, so we just need to make our voices heard and she'll be a shoo-in.

WHERE IS WARIO LAND

Attached: 1652226868321.png (240x160, 15.24K)

Sakurai will be involved with the next Smash game.

>What makes you say that?
Not that user but its really obvious. Game&Wario sold like shit and also was generally just not liked by the fans or reviewers. Then there was quite a long hiatus because of it, and then WarioWare Gold released basically when the 3DS was dead and also sold like shit despite being really good. Those 2 games didn't even reach half a million sales. And caused droughts in the franchise. So, Get it Together selling 1.24M is quite an improvement from the state the series was in.

Yeah Get it Together was fucking kino.

Why do they work for him? He never pays them.

That's silly, She'd never do something like that.

Problem is there isn't even a ballot or anyway to give feedback anymore.
Hopefully not.
That's more of bad outside luck rather than the series itself being out of its prime as the games themselves are pretty good. Wii U itself was dead on arrival and the 3ds was abandoned by the time it finally got Gold. Yes it's an improvement but there are no excuses to not be the best selling WW yet.

If he his, then we do the same thing. Make ourselves heard like the K. Rool and Ridley autists.

Sakurai will be involved with the next Smash.

How would the ideal Ashley play in Smash?

SEXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mona should get in Smash before her. But Ashley would fight with her spells combined with Red attacking for her.

What a lovable girl.

Stranger danger
Bad touch bad

Because it was released like 3-4 years after Switch came out

I fucking hate fartfags

>as the games themselves are pretty good
As I said that's not the general opinion about Game&Wario.
>Yes it's an improvement but there are no excuses to not be the best selling WW yet
Of course there are, the excuse is that WarioWare has spent 10 years losing a ton of popularity. Most series wouldn't even had gotten the chance on Switch at the state it was in. It wasn't just going to regain it all in a single release. Most of the Nintendo series that broke records on Switch weren't on downward trends before the Switch with the exception of Metroid. Paper Mario Origami King for example became the 2nd best selling in it's series because it came from Sticker Star and Color Splash which were sorely hated.

WarioWare Sales. Get it Together is the third best selling in the franchise.

Ashley is too adorable.

damn, gold sold like shit. I guess that's what you get for releasing it at the end of the 3DS' lifespan when the switch was already released and established.

Man the series really flourished during the DS/Wii days.

brown pants

Was still a dumb move. Unless they were working on it way before Switch released.

You have to remember that Touched and Smooth Moves were both year 1 titles for Nintendo's most successful consoles. If Get It Together was a 2017 release it'd likely be a similar story by now

I don't imagine that warioware games take that long to develop. especially not gold since it's mostly just old minigames anyway.

It's surprising D.I.Y. dropped so hard from the other 2 games

They obviously were though it's weird they were so late to the party. In hindsight they should have ported Gold over to Switch but I guess I can't fault them much for not thinking that at the moment. And the touch minigames could have made the game awkward to play docked.

Probably because they focused more on that DSI camera gimmick and not really gimmick giving us cool mini games.

I am glad they chose to make a new exclusive WarioWare for Switch.

Reminder that Snapped! isn't even on the chart because no one knows it sales and it's bombing is probably astronomical

True. And I wonder why Nintendo wouldn't push for it to be an early switch title when we were getting stuff like 1 2 switch.

Because it costs like $50. Also Mario Party Superstars, the first actually good Mario Party in a long time, came out soon after, and people bought that instead.

>Touched released within a month of the DS
>Smooth Moves released within a month of the Wii
>Get It Together released within 4 years of the Switch

God Damn user this is actually a really good point. So this brings up the question on why WarioWare has been so late recently? Gold released 7 years after the 3DS.

Attached: FNVaFOsaMAEELFw.jpg (1305x1350, 542.71K)

Because in 2017 they were developing the 3DS one, Gold. It was just poorly thought out

>why WarioWare has been so late recently?
probably because the dev team got rolled into the main Nintendo developer division after Game & Wario. Wario probably isn't much of a priority anymore.

>God Damn user this is actually a really good point. So this brings up the question on why WarioWare has been so late recently? Gold released 7 years after the 3DS.
It all was because of Game & Wario. That one was also a launch game on the Wii U, bombed not only in sales but also critically. And the series was put on hold. They were probably running short on ideas back then which is why they outright tossed the microgames in that game. And it wasn't until Gold that they got the drive back to try again with the series.

ON MY ASS

I wish that was the last thing I see before Ashley sits on my shrunk body.
