I'm 35 and have played every main series game since Red. B2W2 are the best Pokemon games. They have the most content in them. They were the last games before GF started doing two steps back, one step forward with every new game.

Platinum the best, followed by HG, BW and BW2 are good if you aren't as autistic as some people.
Series went to shit when they introduced the gimmicks per gen in XY, female characters designs are the sexiest thought.

HGSS are a close second for me, but I put B2W2 higher. I know that a lot of people didn't like the sprite tweening and zooming, but I absolutely loved how the battles felt more dynamic than the older games. The way the Pokemon closer to you would have its pixels be groups of four was a fun callback to gen 1. Furthermore, Gen 5 felt like the first time GF tried to make every Pokemon with VGC in mind, and competitive was a lot better than in Gen 4.
