Lmao
Every Switch game plus every PC game
>instead
You're not a snoy are you?
If you were looking for a reason instead of trying to create a bait thread, you'd find them extremely easily.
cause you have to wait 6 months to get one
You can run breath of the wild at a whooping 15 fps bro. Didnd you ever want to run nintendo games at 15 fps?
I allways wanted to play smash bros singleplayer and breath of the wild 15fps. Hecking preordering right now
This plus free online, gamepass access and not having to doubledip on any multiplats.
fuck off faggot paypig
if Switch emulation doesn't work out for you then just play the billions of other games on PC then lol.
>you'd find them extremely easily.
>Cant play games online
>Cant play games multiplayer
>Some games dont work at all on yuzu
>Yuzu runs a lot of games like shit
>Switch lite is an actual portable handheld
Name a single one.
Most Nintendo games aren't even on Switch. Most GOOD Nintendo games are definitely not on the Switch. I'll be using my deck to emulate NES all the way up to Wii.
The term is Sony Chad
>you'd find them extremely easily.
They're on the steam store.
>Cant play games online
Steam Deck can play games online.
>Cant play games multiplayer
Steam Deck has multiplayer support.
>Some games dont work at all on yuzu
Emulation is a work in progress and most games do run fine. Only one that still has issues is BotW which can be emulated through the Wii-U on CEMU.
>Yuzu runs a lot of games like shit
See above.
>Switch lite is an actual portable handheld
The Deck is portable too.
>Name a single one.
You haven't
I'll do you one better by giving you more than one.
>can play PC games and other consoles than just switch thanks to emulation
>I can play PC games online without having to pay a subscription fee
>I can play games multiplayer
>I don't need to rebuy games I already own on PC with the nintendo tax included just to play them on a handheld
>I'm not buying a steam deck to get a switch, being able to play switch games on it is incidental and due to the way emulation development works it will only get better with time
I apologize sony chad, you are right
>smash bros singleplayer
Implying anybody plays Trash Ultimate online in the first place with its abhorrent indie-tier netcode. You can still play it local coop as every single person playing with friends or at a competitive level does anyways.
>botw
Runs better than the identical Switch version on cemu. What's the problem? Should have brought up Mario Odyssey running worse on Yuzu since there's nothing you can do about that but wait for Yuzu to inevitably run it better on Deck.
>abhorrent indie-tier netcode
it's funny you should say this considering the existence of slippi having rollback netcode before nintendo seethed about it and shut it down
>People dont want to play games online anyway
>You can still play it local coop as every single person
Sure, let me just detach the steamdecks joycons.
Steamies are literally the most retarded people on this board
I have two decks and a switch. Waiting for a switch pro.
>why two?
I bought one for my younger brother
>I allways wanted to play smash bros singleplayer and breath of the wild 15fps.
Smash bros online sucks ass. Even with LAN. The constant stuttering ruins absolutely any and all fun you can have. Emulation still supports local multiplayer which is all that matters.
sir, SIR, you are the needful to understand that there are other ways to do this and you can do it with any controller not just nintendo's drifting joycons
>Pc games
AHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA.
That was a good on
>on cemu
It was fun to play up until the part where you need motion censor part, and to do this you have to go through hoops to even do it. Main reason why I stopped playing it.
Joycons suck. Steam Deck supports actual controllers like Xbox/Playstation controllers.
Most games on switch are literally just indie PC games ported over for children.
I emulate switch fullspeed on my decade old i5, I saved myself a $300-400 wew
>>Cant play games online
You can do this on a hacked Switch so I bet emulators will come up with their own solutions if they don't have them already.
>>Cant play games multiplayer
Fake and gay.
>>Some games dont work at all on yuzu
Name 1.
>>Yuzu runs a lot of games like shit
As did cemu a few years ago. Now it's amazing. It's almost like emulators continue to be developed until even lower spec pcs can run them well..
Steam deck trackpads can emulate DS/3DS touch screens and Wii/Wii-U motion controls. Obviously not ideal for touch/motion focused games but who cares about those anyways
>PC
>games
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, are you talking about spreadsheet simulator?
This is a great point, Its not worth it to play BOTW at 15fps, Its much better on the Switch at 20fps.
Here's a reason to not get a Steamdeck and instead get a Switch. Far less Elden Ring topics.
Elden Ring which isn't on switch.
>playing the worst version
Why?
>Get the first batch back in first week of March
>Great Device however only 10-15% verified games in my library
>Fan Noise is below average
>Battery life is a 5/10
>Ergonomics is 6-7/10 (Depending the game. A slower paced game doesn't make you haywire on the buttons)
>Cross-Save between my PC and Deck is my favorite feature, specially with mods
>Overall first imprison: Pretty nice device for the price: 7/10
>Fast Forward 2 months
>Adjust refresh rate between 40-60Hz: Nice
>This also helped the mediocre battery life. Now its a 7
>OS Level Fan control: Nice
>Steam Deck Verified/Playable Games 34% (Still really low but every day they support anywhere between 3 and 8 of my games)
>Now its a 8/10 Device
This device brings me back to the PSP days where Sony constantly bumped out firmware updates.
Really just said it for emphasis. I have no doubt indie devs are doing better.
This retard plays Smash Bros with joycons instead of actual wired/wireless controllers like a real human BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Why would anyone want a handheld console? Do you intent on taking it to school and showing your friends?
>Just let me carry arround controllers with my portable steamdeck to connect them
Yeah, because why the fuck not.
Totally more practical than doing the same shit with a fucking laptop
Give me one reason right now why I should give you one reason right now why you should buy a deck instead of a switch
because PC games are better than Switch games. would you rather play Elden Ring handheld, or BotW? if you said the latter, you're wrong.
And no, you won't be doing both on the Deck. Switch emulation is currently trash right now and I don't see any amount of emulator optimization getting the Deck's shitty GPU up to full Switch performance. So it's one or the other, guy.
You realize that even Switch carrying cases will make room for wireless controllers right? Everybody with half a brain knows that joycons are complete guano anus to use for multiplayer games. Literally every person halfway decent at Smash Bros will use a wired gamecube controller or at the very least a pro controller. Using anything else is literally crippling yourself from the horrible lag and shit layout.
>Switch
>Access to switch exclusives and switch ports
>Out of the box everything works
>Deck
>Access to switch ports and the whole PC library since the inception of PCs
>Additionally have limited access to switch exclusives in games where yuzu or ryujinx run well enough (BOTW is best experienced on CEMU and works perfectly)
>Have access to all other emulators up to PS2 and even limited access to PS3 emulation for games that are easy enough to run
>Not everything works out of the box, and needs some or a lot of tweaking for some games or emulators
I think it's well worth the price.
>because PC games are better
HAHAHAHAHA, what fucking games?
PC is for excel, maybe minesweeper.
>And no, you won't be doing both on the Deck
yes you will, just play the better CEMU version.
I want to play PS2 and GameCube games so I'll get the deck instead.
>Access to switch ports and the whole PC library since the inception of PCs
Then why does the trannydeck get compatibility updates?
Sounds like that is just a lie.
If you're in this thread you're propably asking yourself "who is this for?" So let me explain.
Its for people who want to play switch on better hardware.
youtube.com
Whoping 15fps, no reason to own a switch anymore. You also dont have to bother with playing your party games multiplayer anymore, or who even cares about online?
Not only can you emulate high end hardware, but also run sonic on a FUCKING 20 fps on rpcs3.
Thats right bitch, wooping 20 fps
youtube.com
You can literally throw your ps3 into the trash.
Play indie on a vita? Steamdeck runs them with 3 times the size of a vita, also no portability required since nobody will like you, save yourself the trouble from leaving your apartment. OLED burn-ins? Not on the kek. Forget about buttons, trackpads are the future
>But oled burn in is just a meme
Falseflagging chink chinker zhan tendie hiding behind a vita cope
Additionally theres epic pc exclusive indie games like goat simulator and sex with stalin you can play.
AAA games while taking a dumb on the toilet.
Also, cutting edge technology first time allows you to connect your PC TO A MONITOR, you heard right bitch. You can CONNECT YOUR PC TO A MONITOR to use it as homeconsole.
Steamdeck is basicly a jack of all trades.
You should get it if you want to instead of running something well, you want to run everything, but like shit
Bri'ish """food""" was a mistake.
Even the Xbox series s can emulate up to Wii, why should I get a steam deck over on of those?
Kek. True, true. I remember how bad the frame rate was when it first came out in the Korok Forest. Nintendo said they fixed it with a patch, which pretty much was them bringing it from 12fps to 20. The Switch release was borderline terrible in 2017. By today’s/2023’s standards botw2 is going to run like dogshit.
>Using anything else is literally crippling yourself from the horrible lag and shit layout.
Why do tech illiterate trannies always claim this?
Newsflash, wireless controllers have less lag on switch than wired ones.
You're going to get ripped off.
To make Proton work better, which is the preferred way to play games. The alternative non-supported way to play games is wine, which might have a performance hit, but still allows you to run everything. There are actually some exceptions though, games with anticheat solutions that specifically exclude linux, like apex if I remember correctly.
>Deck runs games like shit.... Because I said so!!!
Ignoring the fact that the Switch and Vita ran games like total ass, have you seen the deck run games? It hits 60fps pretty easily on most games even when emulating.
So it isn't perfect, like I said.
Nintendo actually supports its consoles and hand helds after launch
>shows games runs MUCH worse
Is that supossed to impress?
What are you poor? Buy both
What is the most impressive game you saw the Deck run so far. I'm still blown away with MFS2020 at 800p Low/Medium settings, getting 30-40 fps
Steam Deck is portable and Xbox isn't. Portability is kind of the point of the thread, dumbass.
>$50/year for N64 games
>STILL no GBA games
>support
Oh wow. I'm so glad Nintendo is supporting the switch.
>Ignores the link i posted that shows botw running like piss
>Post a different game
>Heh, kirby runs!
bruh skip to 8:30 zelda runs at 45fps instead of the 20-30fps on tendies hardware
>PC is for excel, maybe minesweeper.
Maybe if you're some miserable data entry guy using a computer for work 15 years ago. I literally cannot play:
>Elden Ring
>FFXIV
>DMC5
>RDR2
>Assassins Creed Origins
>Nier Automata
>Cyberpunk
And more on the Switch because it is literally incapable of running them natively. Unless you want to rent some shitty cloud version for the price of an actual game you own, you will never EVER play those games on your Switch. And none of those games have any cloud versions announced.
Because trannies can't comprehend that the dock is just a glorified usb hub
Looks fine to me. Even with occasional frame drops, it's still better than the switch which also has frame drops.
Why play the worst version of those games?
Just get a ps5.
>Run 10-15 fps for 10 hours
>Look, theres this spot where it gets 40 fps bro, just keep playing on 10 fps till it happens
Deck isn't portable
How is the ps2 emulation on this thing?
So far the deck has gotten major updates every week since launch. It took Nintendo 4 years to add bluetooth to the Switch. You still can't use a web browser which kept me from doubledipping on Terraria with it. It's so funny because it's basically the perfect form factor for time consuming wiki heavy indie games but you need to pick your phone up every time you want to Google something. Shit fucking sucks.
No, it's a lot worse.
Do you even know how odyssey runs on switch?
Worse than xbox
>Half library doesnt run
>But heres the other half that runs, literally perfect bro
>Just ignore every uncompatible game bro
You what's funny? You're coping about Switch emulation on the deck which even if you're right and it's not good (which is wrong, it is good) I'm not even getting a deck to play switch games.
I'm getting a deck to play PS2, PS1, N64, GC, DS, and Wii games.
That’s only true of Elden Ring. The rest of those are far and away better on PC than on PS5.
I played botw on both cemu (PC) and switch. I enjoyed the qol/texture pack shit CEMU brings but when I had to go through hoops of using my phone to try to get that one puzzle shrine (Myahm Agana) because it wasn't supported on my phone I gave up.
>30fps cap
Why play a worse version of those games?
Just get a Series X/PC
Takes up as much space in by bag as a Switch does.
I can use it to play the hundreds of games I own and every games I'll buy in the future with no additional cost. And the library is a lot bigger.
>can't refute the argument
>I DIDN'T CARE ANYWAY!!!!
Kek
>Op asks why should anyone get a deck instead of a switch
>Lets just move the goalpost to n64 games bro, heh
>I can run dragonquest monsters gba on a 500$ device bro
It's not a spot it's a completely different emulator, have you even seen the video before posting it?
>Adjust refresh rate between 40-60Hz: Nice
>This also helped the mediocre battery life. Now its a 7
How does this shit work exactly? Before the refresh rate was independent of the frame rate?
Mario Odyssey is 60fps on the deck
>unstable as fuck
>had to lower the resolution target
Why are steamtrannies like this?
Some games marked as unsupported work fine, I played Ender Lily from start to finish on my deck and had 0 issue.
>Why do tech illiterate trannies always claim this?
youtu.be
Lying nigger idiot. Don't call me tech illiterate when you're the one claiming the Steam Deck can't play multiplayer games.
It's usefull if you spend a lot of time on train or in hotel.
>switch is announced
>"Holy shit Nintendo is going to add so many classic games! This is the perfect machine to revisit old Nintendo games! Maybe we'll finally get those GameCube virtual console games!!!"
>5 years later
>NSO is still just NES/SNES/64
>most games are shovelware, the others are Mario and Zelda
>$50/year, can't own them offline have to stay online to confirm with Nintendo servers you're still giving them money
Yep, it's the deck for me.
>Heh, i can run smash bros, splatton singleplayer on my deck. Take this tendies, can your hecking switch do that aswell?
>I dont need to play joycon requires games anyway
The Steam Deck is garbage. A lot of games don't work because of Loonix, and the emulamer community vastly overrates Yuzu and RPCS3 on the upper decker. None of it works well.
Nobody said this.
Nintendo online sucks. Joycons suck. I will not miss them. Maybe if NSO was actually good and Joycons weren't utter shit I'd actually consider keeping my switch.
>A lot of games don't work because of Loonix
Name 5
There are over 2800 verified games now.
I tried other unverified games, and they work so well.
Almost all of them. There's no point in naming specific ones. It's a hacky mess to get anything to run properly.
I actually remember Yea Forums posting images like this thinking the switch would become some great classic game machine. Boy we were naive
>Name 5
