You will have to use it eventually.
Might as well bite the bullet and upgrade now.
You will have to use it eventually.
Might as well bite the bullet and upgrade now.
Still using XP.
I don't play post 2010 games. I'm fine.
"Upgrade"
i just went from 7 to 10 a few days ago. im sticking with 10 for the next 15 years
I play arcade data, 11 could cause problems with it.
I'll just move to Linux
Can I even pirate this? Last time I checked people were saying that you need a special chip on your computer to run this crap.
is 7 still viable? windows 10 is annoying because you have little control over it and it feels like a laptop os
You could say this about anything, including death. No need to rush headfirst to that, yeah?
Oh wait, I'm on Yea Forums. AYYYYY~
for newer stuff it's getting harder and harder, it's still workable depending on what you do with it
i MIGHT HAVE if it didn't require TPM 2.0
not right now, it's a downgrade from 10 in every way
insider preview fixes almost every issue but who knows when it'll be ready
no idea why they were so desperate to release an OS in beta
It hates my first gen Ryzen CPU so no
LTSC?
Not really.
I'm still on spinning rust and win10 is fucking unbearable on it, so i had to move to linux.
And given win11 is win10 with a webpage on top, i doubt it will load any faster.
>You will
No I won't.
No, I will just switch to W10 LTSC.
I didn't have to use Windows 8 though, why should I use W10 with a gimped taskbar
My PC doesn't have the featureset required to support their hardware-level spyware so I can't be forced to upgrade, and the most recent game I have is from 2016. There is no reason for me to upgrade. So no, I won't "use it eventually"
Hello sir, thank you sir
>Eventually
Yeah in like a decade. I used win7 for years after win10 came out. And new games are kind of shit so I’ll never actually have to upgrade. And if I do I’d rather buy another computer for win11 than for it to be my main PC.
I'd still be using 7 if a system failure hadn't forced me to make the move to 10 a few weeks ago
>update
>works just as bad as windows 10
>runs a tiny bit faster
i dont know what i expected
>gimped taskbar
Works on my machine
I use Ubuntu and make do just fine.
Linux gaming is getting better and better whilst windows is getting more and more bloated and scummy.
hahaha no
Still daily driving Windows 7 what are you talking about
just dual boot it alongside linux like the rest of us and only use it for games, like a console
For my next build, I'm playing a triple OS install, mainly using 10, and Linux/11 just in case and/or for certain applications and certain games
debloated Win 10 was fucking amazing, 5 years and completly stable, never updated. Maybe with debloat script Win 11 will be about as good but I'm not holding my breath.
What kind of functionality are you missing with 10?
based
>Be SysDevOp
>Windows constantly trying to get us to use windows 11
>Promises all software designed for 10 is natively compat with 11 and also runs better on 11
>Fuck it, lets give a test run with 11
>All our software breaks on 11 or runs like shit
nice!
Nah I need my shit to be on windows for work(and habit). I might do the opposite and get/learn Linux as a fun project.
when will linux be good
>inb4 "now"
fuck off, this shit can't play games, can't use photoshop, can't emulate, it can't do shit. someone please make something convenient and functional I can't take it anymore I can't take the corporate boot anymore
The only reason why I'll never upgrade is the taskbar being hardlocked to the bottom center with no way to change it.
I'd probably get used to it, but they went through the effort of changing it and then not allowing it to be changed, which I do not respect in the slightest.
If support is cut, I'll just switch to Linux.
how useable is XP nowadays?
Or I could wait until it's actually stable and to see if it actually reaches full adoption or is skipped like every other windows release for the past 21 years was.
I don't feel like turning on TPM in my bios.
I will actually use Linux when W10 support is stopped, not even kidding. Straight into Gentoo or Arch
lol nope.
When my Win7 finally becomes obsolete, probably around 2025 when Windows 10 is killed off as well, I've already been using Linux for quite some time.
Every single Microsoft product starting from Wee8 has been worse and worse clusterfuck, and outright dangerous for the end-user. This monopoly needs to be killed off ASAP.
>broken explorer context menu
no thanks
I'm sticking with 10 until it loses the sec updates.
Then swapping to Manjaro with a VM running win10
>upgrade
>elden ring requires w10 & dx12
>simply install linux and play it on proton
windows 7 chads we cant stop winning bros
I did. Twice. The first time it bricked after a few days, the second it started my GPU fans on max, turning my computer into a vacuum cleaner. For now, I'll stick with 10. Once that's done, it's over to Linux. Anyone with a functional brain will do the same.
I installed it day one, it's great
>When my Win7 finally becomes obsolete
Just use Pop_OS.
It's free, after all.
You're wrong. We've moved on from the old bad-good-bad Windows paradigm and entered the irrelevant-bad-irrelevant era.
Windows 8 was terrible but it was easily ignored in favor of 7 which was vastly superior and still fully supported.
Windows 10 is also awful but everything supports it on account of the depreciation of Windows 7, forcing users to "upgrade" to it.
Windows 11 is absolutely horrendous yet is almost completely identical to Windows 10 under the hood, so between the recency/install base of 10 and the relative lack of effort necessary for continued support Windows 11 will almost certainly be ignored by the majority of Windows users who will instead stay on Windows 10.
It's Windows 12 that we have to look out for.
>I-I'll use troonix!
No you won't
>when will linux be good
Never
Still on 7, baby.
Might actually bend over for 10 on my next build if Linux doesn't get good in the next 1-3 years.
>shit can't play games
Literally plays more games than Wontworks at this point, better too.
>can't use Photoshop
Literally can, tho'.
It's also funny how you cry about "muh corporate boots", and still defend one of THE biggest jews on the market that brought monthly subscription shit to desktop apps.
>can't emulate
Literally can emulate anything you want.
The problem is that you love the MS' cock so much, you cannot live without it.
>POP-OS chad
Feels good to win, doesn't it?
sudo apt-get install steam
what do you need photoshop for? you are probably not a graphical designer so just use gimp or krita or something
>You will have to use it eventually.
lol
lmao
>can't emulate
It does it better than windows
Building shit on linux is much easier (which is needed if you want bleeding edge emulators), OpenGL is much better on linux if you're on AMD, and the performance in general is just slightly better.
Also qemu can use CPU hardware acceleration on linux.
Pop OS is Linux, little retard.
All Linux distros are free by default.
>You are now viewing paid content!
Sorry Pajeet, my Win7 system still runs literally ANYTHING.
Just marathoned Yakuza series, still playing DRG on a daily basis, and Photoshop and folks run without a hitch.
>wanted to post
>duplicate file detected here
based 7chad
This, I've always had my taskbar at the top of my screen, makes no sense that this feature has been removed.
No shit, sherlock.
I'm currently running it.
>turns off secure boot
>literal systematic spying, hardware-level forced encryption, all the cancers of Wee 10 and then some, and an EULA that literally says "fuck you!" if your system bricks because of MS' obligatory updates and shit.
Nigs sleep.
>I can't move the task bar ??!
REAL SHIT!
plz no
Windows 11 is nearly identical to W10. If you're so triggered it you must have brain worms or something.
>You will have to use it eventually.
lol
lmao even
>this shit can't play games
Only if you're dumb. Out of my entire steam lib there are only about two that it can't run without me fucking around in configs.
The UI is objectively significantly inferior.
Why? Because you can't change the taskbar position or make it show window titles? How horrible.
If you cared about customizing the UI you'd be using Linux.
Can I play nipanese VNs on linux? Last time I tried was on Debian and it was a real pain in the ass.
That's not a real videogame faggot. Fucking linux-tards.
Whats real videogames, fortnite?
>Coworker asks me for help with his Surface tablet
>It's running Windows 11
>Want to restart it
>Windows button brings up some fucking ads instead of the start menu
>Can't find the power options
>Try holding down the power button on the tablet, it just puts it in sleep mode and doesn't shut it down
>Try Windows + L to get to the lock screen
>There, for the first time, I see power options
>Restart it, issue fixed
And that's how I came to the conclusion to skip Windows 11. What a fucking dogshit operating system, Microsoft is completely out of touch.
Remember when retards fell for "Windows 10 will be the last one?"? I wonder how they feel right now.
No, it's still a pain in the ass and still has issues like videos not working
Dont fall for the linux shilling
COME HOME FREE MAN
yes it absolutely is. just get another hard drive with win10 for newer games, and use 7 for the rest. it good to do so anyway because they weight a lot in GBs.
