I really like art direction in this game especially the trains, but I'm evidently not tistic enoug to enjoy the gameplay, I just built a few hueg factories and left. I wish we got OpenTTD remake with Factorio graphics

Factorio Qol-mogs modded minecraft massively. I used to love buildcraft as a kid but after playing factorio I cant come back to it, Everything is so expensive to make and is so jank that I feel actively discouraged from automating stuff.

Modded minecraft to match the automation and scale in Factorio is way too grindy and has too much performance issues to be worth it.

are you able to run this smoothly? is it janky? The main appeal of Factorio is being able to make colossal, optimized factories while maintaining 60 fps throughout. If you want that added performance boost, qol changes, better game mechanics, etc. then factorio is superior in every way

It's not the same feel. Factorio is an Engine building game. Incremental speed that goes up and up and up and up. Minecraft is a sandbox without any real engine power until you mod it.

i dont know if they've made any new ones after full release but I always thought after beating the main game a few times the best mods to try out were Krastorio/AAI Industry, then after you get through that Space Exploration, then finally Angels and Bobs

Pitch black, if it is still being maintained. It ramps the biters up a bit. Also bobs mods to make circuits a little more complicated (but balanced out by better modules later). Angels mods for making raw material processing a little more involved factorissimo2 if you like making modular sub-factorioes.
Alternatively, Space exploration+krastorio (not compatible with most other mods) if you have genuine autism, or pyanodons mods if you are also unemployed.
Also check out squeek through, it shrinks hitboxes so you can squeeze between buildings.
