Why they give you so many?

Why they give you so many?

Because the last time they didn't give it a lot (DS2) everyone was mad

They know retards are gonna blitz through the game without exploring or sometimes buying anything so you find a decent amount on a set path and most imp doors don't even have anything notable behind them anyways. You'd be surprised how many dumbshits forget about the Fringefolk Grave despite it being next to your first bonfire.

I'm not gonna explore and will still use my trusty longsword.

They didn't have any faith in you finding them.

Get the key, open the dungeon, go through the dungeon, explore it, kill the mobs, kill the boss. And now for your reward! Another useless spell/item you're never gonna use.

Exploration and boss kills don't feel rewarding in this game.

You could farm those

>never gonna use

you seem really set in your ways

why not respec and use those items?

i skipped a few unlockable areas because the way they explained it i assumed there would not be enough to open everything in one playthrough, now i have 11 of these fuckers havent found anywhere to use them and wouldnt remember the areas i missed if you put a gun to my head

they usually reward you with upgrade mats along the way to the boss. If you don't use summons, then yes, doing catacombs is kind of a waste of time, because their main purpose is to get gloveworts.

If you say through the rat covenant I'm going to punch you.

Are you a fucking tranny? kys

Well, what's your answer?

Not him, but why would you? There are 18 Larval Tears in the game, I'm not wasting one of those to try something new when my weapon is already doing what I need it to.

The exact same thing happened to me.

I used them on NG+.

They really shouldn’t have tied respeccing to a limited consumable item here. Is there any other reason than bullying players into NG+?

Forget that. Why do they give you more Golden Seeds than you can use?

same, except I marked the locked areas on my map.

What else will you use them for?

Better question is why have to begin with. The keys aren't hidden and the walling off only means people move past a wall and forget about it.

Same reason.
They didn't expect you to be autistic and explore everything on your first playthrough.

Yeah I was hoping you could use them for something late game, or at least sell them for runes

Because you can cut yourself out of 1/3 of the game by accidentally hitting a npc.

>They didn't expect you to be autistic
Does From not know their playerbase?

Some imps have two slots and an animation for the player inserting both even though you only ever use one. The extras are probably left over from that. I'm glad they did, the imp statues are basically a 'have you been playing the game at all' check.

You gotta make sure not to waste them.

Open world so you might find more doors than you do keys. I'm glad they did this because its not like the game marks down the doors on your map if you don't have a key.

This game isn’t aimed at people who’ve played the Souls series, BB or Sekiro. The target audience is much wider this time.

thank god they did or NG+ would be absolutely fucking insufferable having to go everywhere again searching for them

tons of merchants sell them though

>its another shit tier summon ashes

Attached: pooh.jpg (125x125, 1.99K)

because it's a half assed mechanic

>mfw they don't carry over into NG+

>pharros lockstones are back
>throne endings are back
>super fast build progression because of exploration in any direction at the start of the game, also like Dark Souls 2
>unabashedly dogshit boss encounters littered about
>some seemingly familiar high fantasy enemy designs
>Harvest Valley and Horsefuck Valley are both in the game
>The giants get genocided again
>powerstance
The only thing missing is the Pursuer

People were mad about Pharros Lockstones because a lot of them were fucking useless and didn't do anything

I hope there's a few 10 stone key locks in the DLC
Would be cool

what the fuck are you on about?

>double stone key door
>behind it is a crucible knight boss fight
>behind that is another double key door
>behind that is a double crucible knight fight
>behind them is another double door
>behind that is another Godskin Duo
>behind that is another double door
>behind it is a Crucible Knight trio
>behind them is another door
>then the Godskin Duo Duo
>then another door
>behind it is a chest
>open it
>mushroom x3

not him but my asnwer is you're gay

They're a bit more like fragrant branches of yore, honestly

That describes WAY too many dungeons in this game, I don't understand why so many had an actual cool weapon along some path in the dungeon and then the reward for beating the boss is some fucking shitty spirit summon, completely ass backwards

There is one for every stone in the game. How is that not enough?

I think they're referring to Ranni. Since without her you can't get to manus celes, the inverted library tower or the tower of Liurnia. 1/3rd of the game is still a huge reach and you could always use the celestial dew to undo your mistake.

This is a good thing, considering there are no map markings to show which golden sneeds you have picked up, and sometimes important items don't spawn due to bugs. A lot of people are stuck at +11 flasks instead of +12 because one of the sacred tears just didn't spawn.

Kek'd and saved

*puts a gun to your head*

Because why not?
They start scarce, and remain scarce if you only follow the main path.
But you end up with plenty if you explore and do side areas.
Just another reason to make sure to explore.

Bell bearing knight/nights calvery

>then the Godskin Duo Duo
So... four?

forgot the crystalians riding an ulcerated tree spirit

Oh shit

i said my piece. pull the damn trigger.

>go through dungeon beat the boss etc
>its a spell
>kill optional boss
>its a weapon :o
>oh but it requires int :)
>kill an enemy
>it drops its weapon
>needs int
>find a hidden passage
>run past 1000 mobs
>its a spell
>defeat boss
>get remembrance
>weapon needs int or fai
every time

Wut
You use two stones when the animation shows two, what are you talking about

I wish they had cosmetics in them.

>Yea Forums unironically whining that all items in a dungeon aren't tailor made for them

>make one criticism of elden ring
>noooooooooooooo
Why are fromdromes like this?

They aren't. The threads are being raided 24/7 and it made everyone defensive as shit.

Not my problem. Deal with it.

How would you fix dungeons?
Me first.
>introduce sneaky merchant NPC
>lore is that he is a graceless tarnished pillaging other tarnished that die in the catacombs
>can carry random quantities of one random smiting stone, ranging between -2 and +2 levels of the upgrade mats in the dungeon's zone, at increased prices
>can randomly carry any non-legendary weapon in the game that you do not own yet, and it has a random level of upgrade BUT it is cursed and cannot be upgraded or dropped, only sold to merchants
>carries the elusive larval offspawns, a variant of larval tears that he sells great amounts of, but when used to respec they only change your stats for one hour before reverting, meant to test new builds

100% agree. 50 hours and about a dozen dungeons and a few story bosses in, and I found 0 armor sets and maybe 2 weapons beyond what you can buy in the starting shops. your reward for beating nearly every boss (other than the Grey/Asylum Demon clone for some reason) is a frankly insulting amount of runes and Mushroom (2) 3
