I personally think shit like triggered/seething/umad had had a negative effect on people as a whole. I get mad about video games constantly, but I've never snapped aggressively at a game, punched a wall, tossed a controller or called someone an ethnic slur due to being bad at playing a particular game.

I can be a salty bitch when playing games, but it starts and stops at "Fuck you! What the fuck is this bullshit!?" I've never broken anything or taken it out on anyone. The angriest I ever get is rage quitting and then immediately saying, "No fuck that, we're not fucking done here," and starting the game back up.

Only time a videogame genuenly made me mad was Faster Than Light. Only other contender on my memory is Darkest Dungeon, which got a very tame fist slam from me after a series of particularly bad rolls.
Other than that I usually just feel exhausted and discouraged whenever I'm failing at a game too much.
