I kinda liked PlayStation consoles because they were pretty good for different types of games and you could play almost any genre on them. The PS1 and PS2 had massive libraries, the PS3 had less games but still had that variety, and the PS4 still had some options on it too and you could still play Japanese stuff regularly on it. The PS5 ain't got shit lined up. They've officially ignored and pushed away all other types of games in favor of cinematic movie games, more so than they ever did with the PS3 and PS4.

Around 2017 was when the brand died for me. It has been rocky up to then aswell with japanese games going multiplat, but after they started censoring I sold my ps4 and never looked back. Honestly I'm glad, the switch has CFW, PC was always a heaven for piracy and my games now run better / are not censored. I lost nothing and gained a ton from their retardation.

The US side of Sony is known to sabotage developers, both internal and external. They treated the Vita so poorly, which is why it bombed. They flat out dislike anything that comes from japan, which is why Atlus had to localize Demon's Souls. They also shut down their own developers for dumb reasons, such as Evolution, Japan, and Liverpool (which was Psygnosis). Bend will be next, because their games aren't woke enough.
