Wait no, I get it. It used to bug me why almost every really good player was an asshole, but it makes sense. You can't get that drive anywhere else, you need that uninhibited drive to succeed. I recognize my limits. I'm getting older and my reflexes and accuracy were above average but never carry worthy. I instead tend to gravitate towards support roles, classes, and skills that benefit the team overall rather then my personal stats. I focus much more on macro and bigger picture benefits to winning even if it means does bitch work. I find great pleasure when my side wins and I know I helped the really good players out with my background efforts that allowed them to more easily carry.
