LotR: War in the North. Basically just Champions of Norrath, but LotR. Right before I bought it on Steam it got pulled. Wanted to play co-op with my friend and now we'll never get to again.

They released a stand alone game on Steam but it's just like a weird offline version of the online game. I bought it because it was like $3, absolute waste of money.

The story is completely bizarre. I think the whole thing is that you're Chopin on your deathbed and the entire game is your fever dream or some shit. The combat is pretty fun.

I was so fucking disappointed when I bought dead space on steam

In the second one they improve the battle system so you could play through the entire thing with the revamped system. Building your own town that would feed you materials for your equipment was engaging as was questing online with random people. They improved the giant knight battles too.
