Barely passable in the sky trilogy and even then it's thanks to the hardest difficulty which wasn't present in originals.
Newer games have no excuse to have that shallow dated battle systems with no difficulty.
It's also laughable how they made the combat easier with each cold steel release by giving the player more OP mechanics like break state and orders.
Well at least Kuro lets you basically skip most of the non boss battles with field attacks.
Wouldn't be surprised if the last arc they would just straight up abandon the battle system and make a visual novel.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is proof other companies can handle the localization of Falcom games too.
Kuro will be localized in 2025 with any luck and by then the current audience will move on while new won't bother with a series where the first game was released in 2004.
