Not all genres fit the microtransaction model. It will become increasingly prevelant, but there will still be traditional games.

It's a very simple game and it's just fun. Play for 10-20mins a day and a couple of hours when an update comes out. Plus the character designs are great and the world is fun to explore, Its the scummiest as far as what you get for what you pay but its optional. I hope they release a furry character.

There are two common ways games use to bypass gambling laws.
The first one is the some that is used by trading card companies: claim that the contents of each purchase are equally valuable. It's not gambling if you get the same value every time.
The second one is to sell in-game currency instead of having people gamble with money directly. For example, genshin sells genesis crystals, which can be converted into primogems, which in turn can be used to buy rolls in the gacha. Both currencies can also be used to buy other stuff. It's not their fault that players use it to pursue randomized rewards.
