I never used poise in ds1 i used the ninja armor and never upgraded it because i thought it was like demon souls were you couldnt upgrade armors, and i used the knight starting weapon throught the whole game and the dlc and it wasnt hard it was challenging but it never got as hard as the original god of war or the original american release of dmc 3
