Holy shit, this is absolutely one of the games ever made. Anybody else played it?

i did it raw

the main final boss kicked my ass for days, but the actual "you only have one chance" post-segment was pretty easy

downloaded it off itch from that mega bundle they had, it's good. love the visuals and music, it's challenging, but has the continue system and checkpoints to keep shmuplets like me from getting filtered too hard

do you guys pick the sword or the romantic drill?

the drill because I got done watching gurren lagann with my boyfriend recently

Big drill was the only way I could beat a bunch of the mini bosses in this game without losing lives

you can do it user, remember DO:

1: NOT
2: GIVE
3: UP

I did drill first but now I do Type-C Sword because I saw you could deflect the crosses on the final boss and counter the melee attack which often gets you hit anyway and find those too cool.
The 2-3 fight's downgraded because of it but I like having the deflect I don't have to build up.

yea i do the same thing, doing delayed slashes with decker just feels really good, keeping multi up is pretty much my only goal whenever i play the game now so it forces you to really be on your toes not to drop the chain as well, like tapping a destructible then transforming for a quick cleanup of the debris

I’m not crazy about it compared to like Cave shooters or Touhou. I think they 2 colour thing is a good idea but some enemy borders which damage you blend into the background, making things a little confusing. I also don’t like how you get pushed around after taking damage

I wish I could focus on just keeping the multiplier up, I'm still trying to get a proper full clear of the standard mode.
It's stupid but I'm always shocked at just how much harder it is when going for it and trying to prolong some encounters for more score.

You should, I don't like these types of games but it was so good that when I beat it I deleted my pirated copy, bought it, and then finished it again

Interestingly, when you reset the save in the menu it also deletes your achievement for some reason so probably more than that even beat it. It really isn't that difficult compared to a lot of other shmups.

This song is the main reason I focus white vanilla now besides, improving rank, and with the 3rd mode coming eventually I'm more excited for the music than the actual gameplay at this point.

It's cool but I can't stand how Shmups make you trial & error your way through very stressful levels and then throw you back to the start if you die. I get why it is that way but it always kills my fun.

this one at least lets you do from any stage you have done and you get more retries the more points you make

I don't understand, the game isn't even long. I didn't 1CC it or anything, but why are we stressing losing a meaningless save? It takes you literally, like, an hour to get back to the final boss, probably less.
