Factorio

how do i play this fuckin game

experiment, learn from your mistakes, repeat

i would be amazed at how they were able to get rid of that many bodies in that short amount of time with 0 evidence

Play the tutorial
It's for noobs like you

Is this game fun

you use things to move things around and put them into things that make them into other things. pretty easy

Just started a new factory with a self imposed rule of only 1:1 trains
Will I have a bad time?

I mean you'll have the same efficiency as 1:x, you'll just have to build x locomotives and maybe do some circuitry to stop them from running into each other

too damn funny man

Anyone who played this game never had sex and will never have.

May want to play with LTN just to cut down on locomotives.
It's a compliment.

It’s almost as if it didn’t happen. It is a real shame they built them those pools only to just kill them and remove all evidence..

I wish, alimony makes me want to commit die.

Alimony? More like all your money

it sounds like you took a wrong turn at reddit

What filters you? While some other user's late game screenshots may seem intimidating, game is actually pretty good at introducing features one by one without overwhelming you.

I am ashamed to admit that the tutorial missions kinda overwhelmed me. I don't know which one it was, maybe the third or the fourth one? It threw a lot at you in comparison to the tutorial missions that came before. Maybe I should try it again.

I fill multiple zoomed out 1440p screens with solar panels because kovarex is weird and scary to me.

Is factorio about letting POWs have a soccer team and put on plays and stuff?
Haven't played it.

It becomes easier to automate efficiently when you limit your stack inserters to a factorio of 40

*block your path*

Just craft stuff. Research new things. Look if you can speed things up and automate shit. It's all right there in the game, you don't even need a wiki.
I never played the tutorial so I don't know if you should skip it or not. It all came to me naturally in the sandbox mode.

I can't wait to see the Holocoaster and masturbation machines.

I just manually craft everything. It's a little slower but you get where you need to go eventually.

>chain before the intersection
>chain in the middle, if two intersections are so close that they won't fit one train between them
>rail after the intersection
That's literally all you need to prevent jams. Then you also arbitrarily lay down some rail signals on straight long paths just to make things smoother.

It's perfectly designed to give your brain what it wants, which is a sense of optimizing a flawed system to obtain equilibrium (which you can never fully perfect). So, yes and no. If you're the sort of sperg who posts on Yea Forums, you'll probably love it.

Not really, the worst drawback will be the huge risk of getting flattened, as you'll have so many trains going from 0 to 300km/h in a couple of seconds

When is the expansion coming out ?

Not soon enough. And there's still no word what's it even about.

Then you'd be completely mentally destroyed by the industrial output of most countries. The germans made more rifles than burned bodies, and which do you think is harder to do?

>1:1 trains
1 locomotive, 1 traincart?
not that difficult, you'll just need to build a bigger train yard

It can throw a lot of total things at you but essentially everything in the game can be broken down until it's individual steps that are easy to get a hold of.
Outside of maybe train signalling but you can avoid that until you easily launch the rocket without really learning that

The way the tutorials are set up is pretty shit, it's not so bad at first but then you get to the train one and you have to rebuild an entire factory instead of it just giving you a functional factory and then having you build the train

This game some kind of simulator for providing swimming pools, sports activities and theatre for concentration camp prisoners?

>Auschwitz
Is there an infograph on how they do it?

>not a single one is still with the mother of the kid

i have a friend whos gonna end up like this i am 100%

>how do i play this fuckin game
10 build
20 start over
30 build better
40 start over
50 goto 30

Burn bodies.

>there could be jew spirits trapped inside any given rifle you've held
Spooky.

Have wife and kid
Have launched the rocket
Am I a god to you insects?

how big do you want it to be? problem with 1:1 trains is it's gonna be a fucking nightmare for anything huge. if you want to avoid main bus designs entirely and keep things limited to starter base quantities, 1:1 is easily viable without mods. but the moment you decide "hey you know what, I want 500 million green circuits a minute", 1:1 trains will be an absolute nightmare to deal with even if you fire up LTN to make it less of a nightmare.

>tfw no literal ghost gun

Why are you so antisemitic?

You'd just blueprint a trainbase and decentralize everything.
I'm already imagining a block sized cell with a bunch of circuited up stations sharing series lines, with a bit of circuitry to switch them on and off as they become vacant or occupied.
Sounds neat.

How many rifle factories did they have compared to "death camps"?

Why are you not? Oh, I see, Rabbi.

How do you guys usually handle trains anyway?
>each train has one role and just goes back and forth between pickup-delivery for a single resource
>long-ass multipurpose trains that gather various stuff from multiple spots and unload it all at a megabase where it's all directed to the right places
>modded LTN stuff with adaptive trains and shit

early game i tend to just do bidirecional tracks and spaghetti rails.
once I reach the limitations of a crappy bus I make train cell zero and expand out from there.

LTN is kind of a bitch to make work smoothly because you need to balance your loaders and unloaders, or you get garbage trains rolling around putting coal in your circuit cells.
this can be mitigated by using filter inserters but i find you want a garbage disposal station somewhere you can just send krangled trains to that will empty, balance, and then reload all the crap.

then you can just have a small number of idle generic trains that can do everything.

>craft a train
>put it down on the tracks
>"Locomotive Fluttershy"
Explain yourselves, Factorio fags.

Didn't mean to quote.

country?
inb4 it's italy

They're named after kickestarter backers.
For a while you'd get names like GAY FACTORIO NERDS etc. but they cleaned those out around release.

If a train can stop after the signal you put regular ones.
If it can't you put chains.
In practice this means regular signals on straights and junction exits, chains on junction entrances and inside junctions.

I dont think there was a kickstarter, just higher "support" tiers on their site

How are there still no factory-building games where you use the output of the factory for something other than expanding your factory ad infinitum? Riftbreakers seemed promising, but it turned out to be Tosstorio with teleporting resources and global storage. There was another one where you built a city and each building had a little factory in it, but the factories lose relevance after you get building-sized fabricators.

>popular overhaul mod
>it boasts "expanded end game" with umpteen tiered recolored buildings that do the same thing but with a bigger number
Wow yes this purple belt with 240 items/second is super exciting and not just boring autistic power creep.
That's why Industrial Revolution 2 is the best overhaul, even if it was made by an SJW.

>where you use the output of the factory for something other than expanding your factory ad infinitum?
you also use it to fuel your own private military industrial complex against insectoid hordes, just like the founding fathers envisioned
Also use it for what? Selling products? i guess modded Rimworld does that

I think we're lucky that the factorio devs actually knew how to balance a game correctly. The only resource in vanilla that becomes entirely pointless is wood. Even then you can still burn it in boilers for some "free" power when you're clearing space.

It still makes me wonder what the fuck the expansion is going to be about and how they're going to make it worth the 30 bucks they're thinking of charging for it.

As stingy as they are with expansion info, what was mentioned is "complete engine rewrite"
This makes me suspect we'll have floors/layers, underground etc.

I know there are some mods that can do that but it would be awesome to get it natively
Underground and underwater

Have you ever seen one million human bodies in one place? I think the closest in the states was the million man march which only got about 800,000.

If you were to set fire to said bodies, the ash plume would cover the entire northeastern united states.
