I'm glad I played and enjoyed Code Vein before noticing how obnoxious these threads are getting. Every Code Vein thread on Yea Forums is the exact same poster(s) posting the exact same images, every single time. It's boring as fuck and it lessens an otherwise really good game. Code Vein is not a waifu poser, it's an action game. If you just want to pose your waifu, port her into Koikatsu or AA2 and do it there.

Same as what you've experienced, but you get multiple anime attacks which are bound to button combinations instead of all being slapped on a single action button. Movement is far quicker.

Pace is quicker and you can change builds on the fly, so you only have to play it once if you want.

animations aren't as fluid but the combat is pretty novel on what you can mix and match with abilities
it is overall painfully mediocre, solid 7-7.5/10 and really only worth it for the anime tiddies

game puts a emphasis on its blood codes which are your special attacks, you are allowed to mix and match them how you see fit depending on your play style, for example if you are like me who just unga bungas your way through bosses codes that give special melee damage and health will be a godscend, obviously it also has a partner system and who also work with this system since their abilities can be chained with your own, some are better when compared to others so keep that in mind, if you want to try this game out but don't want to spend money yet then you are in luck since last I checked it does have a free demo that lets you play through this games equivalent of a dungeon with one of the partners

Code Vein has 2 great QOL features that I really wish were included in Dark Souls/Elden Ring

Honestly if it were up to me, I'd do like code vein with the free equip weight to alt-slots, BUT I'd completely lock out the inventory menu outside of bonfires (just like spell swapping already is). You get the 6 slots you choose, as well as the however-many belt item slots you've assigned, and that's it.

generally the most recent one you picked up. Incentive is to use all classes to freely equip their skills later.

Io and Yakumo make the game piss easy it's not any fun. I don't like being too overpowered in these kinds of games.

I like running white mia for her buff which makes other buffs last longer, stacks with my own as well and makes rifle builds much easier to manage with ammo.

I wouldn't say never since the game was a pretty big success for the studio, though it probably won't be a while since due to it being a surprise success, they probably didn't have any serious plans for a sequel and given the fact the game already had a troubled dev cycle, it will take some time to get the ball rolling again

We're also never getting god eater 4, the next chapter of houseki no kuni, the rest of bad girl exorcist reina translated, an ungayified RF5, a country not run by jews, among other nice things we could have had.
