But Zack was never implied to have a promninant role in the story like she was. Zack is meant to be the shadowy old friend figure that died. We're not supposed to know too much about him so the reveal makes sense regarding Cloud's memories and personality. Sephiroth is a similar case, as the whole Jenova reveal. We're supposed to know LITTLE about him, so that Jenova being weird when disguised as him doesn't seem off.

This is wrong though. Kairi in KH1's island scenes are already triple Luna's scenes throughout her whole game. Namine takes over the entire second half of COM, being the main driving force for Sora, since he thinks she was his Kairi.

Kairi has a big role in the beginning of KH1, gets captured (MIA) for the middle of it, then returns again during the climax, then appears at the end. Namine is a driving force throughout the second half of COM, appearing in many scenes to guide Sora, as well as in conversations with ORG members. She's literally in nearly half of Larxene's scenes, as an object she abuses.

Secondly, why bring up another franchise? Not every KH player plays FF games. You should know that, so yes, him asking why the fuck you would bring up another game is valid. It's not even in the same series.

The anime, the movie, and all the other material the game EXPECTED you to watch before playing the game gives you a shit ton of stuff about her, and lots of screen time. The game just drops the ball because SE or the devs thought FF15 was going to expand into some mega franchise on it's own and wanted people to watch 10 different things relating to it before touching the game. No, it's Luna age: 12. She appears in flashbacks in the game almost as much as an adult.
Of course everyone is comparing her to Aerith, the other 'main girl' who dies in her FF, and spends a solid third of the game being very present and very involved with you and your party. The problem with Luna isn't that she doesn't have characterization, she does. It's just all in the movie and anime, not the game itself. It was a bone-headed decision to make XV a Multi-media Experience™, rather than just a game.

But I already told you they do not. Kairi was 3 hours worth of cutscene time in KH1, this is excluding just dialogue scenes of her model being an NPC in some areas. Luna does not have anywhere near that much screen time in her own game. You're just wrong, nothing more.
