It doesn't matter if a thousand people want to buy one of something if individuals on the aftermarket are trying to get rid of two thousand of them. GPUs are not a good that a normal person is trying to buy many of. The last time there was a surplus of GPUs on the market- because of the 2018 crypto crash- MSRP eventually went down by about 30%.

Just needed a second GPU to pass through to QEMU virtual machines and this is basically perfect.
