Not much experience. Played Assetto Corsa on a proper steering wheel and with 3 pedals and shifter. Pretty great but I don't really wanna sink that much money into a setup or take up that much room just to play one type of game.
DiRT Rally is really fun though, even on a controller. Love that shit.

They're in the worst state they've ever been in. Normally these are the kinds of racing games I liked to play, especially since I grew up with GT1, 4 and 5 and later got into Forza Motorsport 4. But shit like the always online and monetization of GT7 and the FUCKING ANNOYING constant NPC interruptions that you can't fucking turn off in Forza Horizon games is just ruining it for me. There also hasn't been a new FM in 5 years and they just keep fucking up the car sounds with no tangible improvement in anything else. They also haven't brought back fujimi kaido, which is personally insulting to me.

What about the fact that Tesla is infamous for garbage build quality? They also have the most depressing interior of any modern car out there.

I love both. Sims are way more intense but also require more dedication, practice and time unless you go to the absolute extreme of arcade racing and do speedruns.

I agree, both styles are great honestly they just require different mindsets when playing them.

In my lifetime, I have not seen a ICE car burst into flames. I have experienced 2 teslas burst into flames, one in a garage at work, making the whole area a fucking toxic waste and off limits for 2 days because of the lithium fumes and them having to dispose of it and another time at a car meet.
Unless you can provide some hard data, there's no way for you to convince me. And I'm not gonna believe some bullshit data that includes arson attacks or other shit.

i dunno, i used to get excited over new smartphones and their looks. nowadays i think car interiors are the coolest things to look at in terms of technology advancing. it's like an indicator of the fact that we're in the 2020s, since when you look anywhere else, things still feel a bit like a third world hellhole

The problem is having bad panel alignment and a fucking iPad in the car shouldn't be considered the future of anything. Tesla is garbage even in the world of electrics at this point, other manufacturers are putting out cars with more personality a lesser cost. The only thing about Tesla's that's nice is that they're speedy fuckers on the highway.

I enjoy them quite a bit. I had a lot of fun with GT7 and think it was a step in the right direction despite all of the bitching. It is much better than Sport. Lately I've been playing a lot of Ridge Racer 7. Also Crusn Blast.

What’s a good racing game for pc?

Something that has a lot of players at different skill levels.

I don't want to pay for something I can do myself.

Not racetrack cars, IRL a Tesla will do maybe one lap before slowing to a crawl because the battery overheated.

It's everything on one big ass screen. The only sleeker way to do it would be to give you a HUD on the windows and have the dashboard be completely empty

Or just have a regular dash where everything is perfectly visible and not one wrong swipe away from you not knowing your speed.
