You tricked me.

Yeah im replaying it right now. It baffles me how much of the NPC dialogue exists basically to give hints to the player where a secret path, password, or stash is. I never asked for this.

Even if its comically focused on a singular issue, I still like the story and characters quite a bit. Thats what carried the game for me

Eidos really took what they thought was good about Deux Ex and rammed it all into Human Revolution. I played HR and MD and it didn't really resonate the same way.

I'd recommend trying games like System Shock or Prey (2017) if you want an immersive sim with more of a focus on world building and exploration than running through vents.

Vents are comfy.

The XP system in this game is so fucking ass backwards.
Even if you have the code for something it's objectively better to hack it because you get so much XP and Money from datastores.

I just shoot everyone lol

I try to do that and then the game seems to keep funnelling me into more God damned vents.

Because the gunplay is dogshit.
MDs is actually good but the framerate chugs and stutters so hard you'll never get to enjoy it.

Spam throw vending machines at everyone on repeat

I enjoyed it and MD.
Hope THQ does better with the IP than Eidos though.

Eidos is still the ones developing it though. THQ is just the publisher.

>Eidos is still the ones developing it though
We're doomed then.

Maybe, maybe not. I liked HR despite its flaws, and if nothing else, MD was an improvement gameplay wise. Now that Eidos are no longer tied to Square Enix, maybe they'll do something better. Though I'm not exactly holding my breath.

The main people behind HR and MD left the company though

Eidos is the studio that took an IP and created really memorable and fun game out of thin air, and were actively hampered by retard jap suits.
If they're given time and resources im sure they'll make another 8.5/10 game thats fun to play and doesnt have same DESPERATE online mtx features md had.

It's very comfy besides the outsourced shoehorned boss fights which you can trick your way through or godmode through with a trainer if they bother you.

I found it to be fantastic, just a really good game all around

All the talent at Eidos jumped ship after Deus Ex was ruined

They're in a city with most game devs per capita. Im sure they can recruit with "less retarded corporates this time around" meme. Like twitter got 300% more recruits after Elon.

They're not much worse than most of the game

Anyone else drop md after the cops started calling you a nigger?
I thought that was in poor taste and blatantly chasing current events.

>50% of the game is spent crouch walking in vents or "hacking" some terminals

Honestly all stealth games I played besides Tenchu had something like this. A lot of crouching, moving around trying to be undetected while also doing something that is somewhat interactive but not directly attacking enemies. So it sounds to me like it did stealth well.

You missed the key word "vents"

The devs thought console players were so braindead they thought finding a vent at the entrance behind some boxes to bypass pretty much the entire level made you some kind of genius.

sounds like deus ex, what's the problem?

>MDs is actually good but the framerate chugs and stutters so hard you'll never get to enjoy it.
Stop using a potato system user.

>he doesn't shred the bosses in seconds with just the environment

No they didn't. The main team worked on Guardians of the Galaxy, and if they stuck around for capeshit I doubt they'll be leaving now that they're free from SE and can make another Deus Ex.

I dunno, I think MGSV did stealth really well.

Attached: metal gear solid 5.jpg (2048x935, 206.48K)

It is new and thus must be bad even if it does everything an old game does.

MGSV wasn't a typical stealth game though. Most prior to it were level based or in much more contained worlds. Even the prior MGS games were largely just this. If this industry didn't abandon the stealth genre actually we would probably have seen MGSV be the template for the evolution of the genre and improved from that formula by now.

>50% of the game is spent crouch walking in vents or "hacking" some terminals
only if you want to play that way

they did their best to "fix" the boss battles in the game of year edition
still not great but a lot fucking better

Can you provide some evidence for this claim?

not him but it runs like fucking shit on my pc with a 5800x and a 2070 Super
It's actually quite amazing how I had to machine upgrades since that game launched and it is one of the few that I can barely tell the difference because of how fucking terrible the performance is
Even dropping everything to medium and dropping the res to 1080 still runs like fucking shit

THQ might at least do better as a tard wrangler.

>not him but it runs like fucking shit on my pc with a 5800x and a 2070 Super
Sounds like a you problem - i've got a similar tier of gpu and a slower cpu (3900x) and at max settings (but no msaa) at 4k I get 55-65fps walking around prague with the only hitch happening roughly where the giant statue of a dude is by the waterfront as that is the boundry for loading in the other half of the map - if you walk down from TF29 towards the old LIMB clinic going under the archway us typically whee it happens.

This, the game is more of a spinoff but they did it competently and it holds up as a direct-to-video sequel. It's playable and my only complaint is that it's too short. This is a good complaint to have.

>max settings
>4k I get 55-65fps
>walking around prague
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Yeah sure user.
If you're going to lie at least say the intro since it's much easier on the GPU than Prague.
The minute I go outside in that hub I drop down to 40-50 FPS at 1440p with MSAA disabled and a few other things turned off as well.
And it sure as fuck ain't my pc since it runs every other game at comparable FPS to what people with similar PCs get

>lies
user, it is true.

Attached: 2020.12.30-01.37.jpg (3840x2160, 1.27M)

The game would be a 9/10 if they just fixed the XP.
>Gain nothing from taking out enemies
>Get more XP by entering a code to terminals
>Get XP per objective for not having triggered any enemy between objectives

V has it too, I don't think it's a bad thing though
I mean it IS a stealth game what the fuck are you supposed to do if it didn't have these paths where you can go unnoticed?

Chuds will seethe at this but human revolution should've been a pure combat FPS game.

Attached: 1650511892534.jpg (1136x7832, 3.34M)

>screencap instead of video
>at night
>with literally nothing happening
>still only managed to get 1 fps above the supposed minimum he gets
You're not making me waste my time reinstalling this game just to prove you wrong.

I played it on a 970 at medium settings without visibly dropping below 60. It's not that demanding if you know what you are doing.

The only notable person to leave was the art director, Jonathan Jacques-BelletĂȘte.

If you really want I will make a short webm.

% of the game is unskippable dialogue
It's more like 10/15%.

Sure do one that involves actual combat instead of sitting around in the part of town with the least amount of assets and lights and open something that let us actually see your hardware instead of having to believe you that a 2070S can do something that it just can't

I really wish there were a game like nu-Deus Ex, but without any RPG-like gimmicks. Having things locked behind upgrades sucks. I just want everything to be based on player skill.

I said walking about, not combat at 4k. The fact that your better system can't even match mine at 1440p is a problem on your end.

>your better system
Have nothing but your word for it and the fact that you said that walking around was 55-65 and yet in your own video you got drops to 40s tell me you're just a bad liar

They said it was better than Cyberpunk 2077
Is it true?

> got drops to 40s
Exactly at the point where I said it would drop (the statue). Regardless I'm enjoying the game and lmaoing at your potato.

yes but no

>better than Cyberpunk 2077
At least a third of the games in steam fall in that category

>I'm enjoying the game
I do envy someone that can enjoy FPS drops to 40 without a care in the world, too bad not all us can be legally blind.
Also find interesting you keep dodging the question of your specs outside of your CPU.

And they still manage to make

it's not even true
see

Yes but that isn't saying much.

>Also find interesting you keep dodging the question of your specs outside of your CPU.
3900x, 32gb ram (the game eats a lot) and a radeon VII. Stay mad user :)

Attached: Deus Ex_Mankind Divided2022.05.08-21.24_01.jpg (3840x2160, 862.83K)

>radeon VII
See I knew you were a fucking liar.
Of course a fucking VII is having a much easier time then a fucking 2070S you absolute tech illiterate retard.

Obviously

I want a Deus Ex game but where they double down on the conspiracies. Covid-19 was a super-virus to kill Indians made by Paki immigrants in American biolabs in China or some shit.
