Instead of playing from your disc it only acts as a license that lets you download a customized version of the game for your specific console from Xbox servers.
This is why licensing for the back compat 360 and OG games was such a pain in the ass cause it was legally an entirely new release whereas something like PS1 disc games on PS3 was not.

user, the PCSX2 emulator sucks dick. It still has huge graphical glitches on notable games compared to fucking emus like Dolphin or Cemu that are for newer systems. PS2 emulation will never be the same as playing on console.

Honestly,I like how Xbox DRM works. This issue is happening because of game sharing.

For offline games, if you are not on your main Xbox, the person who bought the game need to sign in, it's good that you can play games on 2 different consoles or PC at the same time with the same purchase, I play a lot with my son like this. This is not possible on Steam.
